This might sound funny but the way to get links indexed is to build backlinks to them... the link juice will pas to them and you will get them indexed as well.

It's a Win/Win for you.

If you are not being indexed even after building backlinks:

1.- Your Domain name may be blacklisted (although I don't think so if you say you have 5% of your links indexed)

2.- You are trying to index pages with the rel "noindex"

  a good way to get your links indexed is to tweet them. I don't know why, but google loves twitter. Create a twitter account only intended to tweet your links. you'll see that in a few hours, they'll be indexed.

I think some are missing that you want your backlinks indexed, not your actual site. Based on what you are doing, it really is out of your hands for the most part. In fact, I don't believe in pinging backlinks as Google will find them more naturally if you don't and decide if they should be indexed or not. It's really not up to you and you shouldn't force it.

Make an RSS feed of all you backlinks and use Twitterfeed.com to automatically send them to a Twitter and/or HelloTxt account. While this won't get all backlinks picked up it will greatly increase the percentage that are.

For me, I have already stopped using tools after I engaged a SEO cracker. Not just a SEO specialist, nor he is a BH or GH guy.

This good man can do all the indexing without software, without paying a cent unnecessarily. You just need to know where to get the job done.

There are tons of open source php, and pearl scripts too. Just dig into those sites. You can modify the scripts for your personal use.

I can prove it to you if you need help. Just pm me a list of links that are not indexed. I'll ask Erik to stuff your links into G's throat.

I am new to seo and at the phase of learning backlinks. Can you guide me this process in little detail please? I am actually unable to understand that when we post a genuine do follow cooment on any other site how can we make RSS feeds and use twitter feed for this purpose? BLB and BIE definitely help. The method I describe above is a cut down version of how these two work, but without the requirement for installation and hosting, as I like to keep my backlinking as seperate from my actual money sites as possible.

In the scenario I describe you'd have to find somewhere to host your RSS feed, but in actual fact I generate mine via Yahoo Pipes, so the outputted RSS doesn't need hosting - it gets pulled directly from Pipes.

Redundant and some BS stuff, I must say, especially link wheel.

Simple thing needs simple solution. And certain marketers love to make this complicated to baffle the brains of the public.

Getting G to index link is like running a words-of-mouth referral campaign. So, the foremost important factor is WHERE the 'words' begin.

Actually, WOM method of getting backlink indexed is very powerful, and overlooked by many. The main factor is to get reputable site sites to 'mention' the links.

I'll look foolish only when someone wants complicated things. That's how the games are toying people around.

WOM... for example; if you're junior MD and specialized in certain field, nobody will pay attention to you even if publish thesis about a new discovery. However, if you co-write with a reputable senior MD, that's different story.

Bring this on to online... the SEO.

WebMD is a web 2.0 site, and G absolutely loves it. This junior MD could co-write with existing senior MD-writers. Simple as that...

WebMD is reputable. Existing senior MD-writers have their own supporters too. That's WOM.

The definite method to get backlinks indexed is via sites that Google loves. WebMD is one of those sites. This is an off-page factor, but that doesn't guarantee anything if the on-page factor sucks.

  Agreed with Daniel. The goal is to get a massive amount of junky links indexed, not to make a single killer backlink.
  
  I like the idea of posting the RSS on Twitter or maybe integrating Yahoo Answers somehow. I posted a question on Yahoo Answers this morning and it was indexed and in 1st place for a keyword this morning.

  I used URL2RSS to group about 10 profile links to make a RSS feed. Then submit it to 30 RSS sites using BigMikes' RSSBot. If you don't have this software, just manually submit it.

OK. Just a little detail... Please don't expect me to write a book regarding this!

Web 2.0 sites -- The authority sites.

There are many ways to do it. Here is one of the favorite techniques that my in-house SEO team use:

* Create a unique content page at Web 2.0 site. Within the content page, there is a section pointing to related articles which lead to external sites that you own (including the money sites).

* Make sure that ALL articles are unique.

* Post only the articles at external sites first, not at the authority site. Don't ping. Don't do anything to let the spider know about these. If possible, create a robot.txt to stop ALL spiders for a time being.

* Quickly post the article to the authority site. Do something to let the spider knows about it.

* Quickly change the robot.txt to allow ALL spiders to come in.

That's it!

This is a simple method -- Authority -> sites of less 'Google love'.

Other similar method -- Authority -> Authority -> sites of less 'Google love'

And many many similar methods to take advantage of authority sites...

Is there a tool?

I don't know. Not because I don't have time or money to check around. Because my in-house team already has their own tool specially customized for certain web 2.0 sites. This tool comes with a mindmap to make the work easy.

Create one if you can and sell it. But the problem is this -- whenever a certain web 2.0 site gets flooded by certain things of similar working pattern, the door is jammed or closed forever. Just like the case of the API at ping.fm

I hope all persons competing in my niches take this dreadfully inept advice.

How much would your crack seo team charge me to do this killer robots.txt method on 10,000 forum profile links?

Sadly ... Hardi is a bit confused here and seems bent to prove he and his crack team of SEO's are always the smartest people in the room.

There's an ignore feature - ive deployed on only a select few - Hardi is inching ever so close to making the prestigious list.

How one could possibly affordable scale that time vacuum of a method for even a mere 500 backlinks per month - is far beyond me - however ...

Hardi has called BS on several of the tools and systems Daniel McGonagle had referenced.

Hardi talks about using web 2.0 authority sites to post unique articles with links to you backlinks in them and creating some robots.txt file nonsense. There's far easier - less expensive, less time consuming and tested and verified ways ... Hardi just dismisses them without ever trying them because of his confusion ... or aversion to paying someone else a small token of $$$ for them to share their tested methods and experience and knowledge with him.

.. but then, when you are clearly the smartest dude in the room wherever you go - there's nothing one can learn from others. Sad.

Hello there!
Well i've got a very simple solution regarding this, that helped me to get indexed my links.
I'm working on "Diet Solution Program" and i posted my article on wikipeers.com
when i started posting my article it got indexed within a day and very soon my article got visible on first page of google. Today it is ranking on first page for at least 6 keywords.
It even stick on first position with main keyword for 4 days beating up a company's site..i was quite happy those days..

my article is still on 3 position with main keyword..

Does it mean that I have some profiles, like these from one of Angela's package, and I somehow: make "RSS feed of all of them" (q: how do I do rss feed of all of them?) and then go to twitterfeed.com and stuff this "rss of them all" in there?

Can someone explain it like to the child? Step by step?
For some reason I have a feeling that you all assume that everyone is on high level of understanding this techniques, whereas I don't have a clue.

Universal ... I wrote a 20 page report on how I spent 90+ days and hundreds of hours testing various methods and tools that could SCALE a link indexing system. I need something like this too. I am having trouble understanding the RSS feeds. I am posting on a forum related to my niche. I subscribed to the forum via RSS. Is that what we are supposed to do?

I don't have a blog type website. I have a brick and mortar informational website describing the business and services offered. How do you make article submissions work for that? Do I write an article and post it to the website somewhere?

I signed up for a few social bookmarking sites. I added a link to my website and pinged the url created at the bookmarking site. Is that what you do? Do I bookmark all the links pointing to my site?

Do I subscribe to all the links pointing to my site with RSS?

I am having trouble finding a FAQ or How To describing these things. Its hard trying to weed through all the PPC, Adsense, affiliate stuff to find out how to perform SEO on a static, brick and mortar site.

mattlwil - there's a better location for getting backlink specific assistance.

I do believe there are things you could write articles about - but really articles are best designed for generating traffic and they arent all that hot for "just" backlinks - there's far more effective and time saving tools and methods for backlinks.

Thats the thing I try and remind so many IM focused SEO's ... since I come from the Offline Arena first and foremost. Many brick n morter guys cant just shut down their non performing niche MFA or Clickbank Affiliate site and move onto the next.

Picture the CEO of Jet Engine mfg co ... "Hey boys - time to pull the plug on the aircraft division ... the boys in SEO cant rank us for our search term. Send the pinks slips out - we just bought a new medical clinic in Malaysia - we're going into the "Homeopathic Herpes Home Remedies" business ... we've got the EMD for both .com and .net - the competition is low and the global monthly searches is thru the roof ... and their's a new Clickbank product for this with a killer gravity score!" Wont our shareholders be so excited!

Sometimes you gotta get after the backlinks in a big way to rank ...

  I'm shooting for results with a website mainly for local search results. I have done ok so far. I'm having trouble overtaking a keyword specific .org. I only have 71 links indexed and have been building links since first of July in my spare time.
  
  I'm also wanting to learn SEO because I want to start up an e-commerce site but don't want to invest 7k (that's a quote from a webmaster) on a site and be buried in search results.
