What's the best way to rank #1 for the SHORT-TERM?

There is a very popular local event happening in my city in four days and it's being searched A LOT, at least a thousand times a day and it's rising rapidly according to google insights. The competition is inexistent. So I'm looking for a short-term method to rank high in google for only a week or so, after that I don't care if I get de-indexed since I'm assuming there won't be that many searches anymore. But I only have 4 days to rank. I am also planning to make money out of adsense since I won't be selling anything. What is your advice on how to rank quickly when there is no competition? Also, would Adsense be the best way to monetize this?

    Do you have a keyword in the domain? If so just add a bunch of keyword rich content, digg and ping it it will get indexed fast (use wordpress) and rank well if it's poor competition.

    Don't use any tool like scrapebox or xrumer because with a brand new domain you most likely will get sandboxed (rank 999) and you can't afford waiting for 10-15 days to get ranked again.

    Whitehat all the way, submit a lot of stuff to web 2.0 sites.

    1. bookmarking demon would help
    2. write one article - spin it a hundred times and have them all link back to your main site
    3. bookmark all of your 100 articles
    4. yahoo answers - sign in with one account - ask a question 2. sign in with a differnet account and answer the question. 3. sign in with your first account in 6 hours and pick your answer as the best answer... then bookmark that page

      Quick question on your No. 3 about bookmarking articles -- where do you bookmark these articles? Would you use Google bookmarks?

    In 4 days I don't think you would have a chance to get your site ranked.

    Just use Adwords and you can have you can get traffic straight away and because there is no competition it won't cost you much at all.
