My site is near the top of page one in google but no page rank. Why is it so? Is there any solution to this problem? I need your suggestions please.

Keep building your site. Keep developing fresh content, work on backlinks and the PR will eventually come if the site is of a good quality.

Just keep focussing on driving traffic and PR is like icing on the cake!

If your site is near to Page 1 of Google , then you don't have to worry about PR, SERP is more important then PR. It will help you to get organic traffic. But for PR , look for high quality back links.

Exactly. So many people get caught up in page rank, but you don't have to have a high page rank to be at the top of the search results. A high PR won't necessarily bring you more traffic. If you're doing things the right way (building quality backlinks, publishing quality content), your PR will eventually increase. In the meantime, keep working to improve your search engine ranking!

Congrats on the SERP success- much more important than PR. PR will come for you over time as people discover and link to your site.
