At the moment I'm have two memberships in the "money making area", and the support team in one of those basically says: "We Advise to use as many possible keywords".

And in this other membership there is this info: "Never stuff your meta tags with tons of keywords -- Google will notice this within days, and it's likely you will be negatively effected. I believe three concise keywords is a fair amount."

This is quite contradictory !!!

What's your opinion on this ?

I mean there must be a definitive answer...

It makes zero difference either way. Google has been ignoring meta tags for several years now. Stuffing keywords in meta keywords is a waste of time. Bing ignores them too. Only Yahoo pays slight attention to them, but Yahoo search will be replaced internally by Bing within a few months.

The only meta tag that still matters for SEO is the meta description, not because of keywords, but because the description can affect your CTR, which in turn has an impact on rankings.

In short, don't waste your time stuffing metatags with keywords.

+1 That is exactly right. Those techniques had impact a decade ago, but have long since been abused and removed from impact.

Now, I'm a bit surprised, I thought the meta keywords was the way for Google to find the content I'm looking for. So if I search for "weight loss" then, how does Google pick the pages I'm looking for? Does Google only look for the Description and domain name then?

meta name keywords matters only to the non G search engines. a good description of what is on the page gets you better results than putting a bunch of keywords in that line.
or reread philipseo statement above, he really hit it on the head. Google don't read that line, and yes Yahoo is out. ( now if we could just get rid of that ie6 thingy )

meta keywords doesnt work for google (they still work on yahoo nad maybe on big too).

now if you put 5-6 keywords on the meta tag it`s ok as small keyword stuffing. but if you put there words that dont related to your content than you might be flagged by google.

OK. I always put keywords related to the content.

Because people did and do put unrelated words, most any good search engine
      is going to ignore them.

But that's not keyword stuffing. An example of keyword stuffing would be to call
the navigation image keyword.jpg insted of navigation.jpg. Just one example.
If you look at every nook at cranny to get a keyword in that is not related to
content, it's keyword stuffing. The keywords in the meta tag are ignored, so
how would it be stuffing? There are numerous ways to keyword stuff. It has
nothing to do with the number of times your keyword(s) are in your content.
Many people err on the too little side because they are scared of something.

squidoo puts every keyword in your meta tag that you specify. Some literally
have dozens. And they rank high. Just part of their script to add a keyword for
every tag. I think squidoo uses the keyword meta for internal searching.

Spend your valuable time on real stuff instead of meta keywords.
Unfortunately, this keeps showing up high on the magical hocus pocus list.

did we need to add some words in meta description.
    Example:

if i want to get rank in insurance, then my meta description is some thing like this.

site about health insurance, home insurance etc..... and having same keywords.

The better option is to put about 10(single) keywords(max.).
