can't find where my visitors come from

I run a videosite. It's fairly new, on average I get 200 visitors a day. New videos get around 50 views on the first day.
Two days ago I uploaded a new video and it got around 50 views. The next day it is up to 1200 views.
So I wanted to know where these visitors came from. I checked google analytics and google webmaster tools and there were no backlinks to this page. I also tried the "link:" search in google, no results.
The video has not been shared through facebook, twitter, stumble or any of the other social sites.
The visitors also did not come from any of the search engines.
I reset the views counter, so I could monitor the number of views every few hours. Today, again 1200 views.

I really would like to know who is sending me those visitors?
Any suggestions?

With regards to your Google Analytics, have you looked at the traffic sources section?

Also, if there is no mention in the sources section, is GA actually picking up any of these visits (in the traffic counter)?

Google analytics does pick up on these visitors. I have checked my traffic sources which I do very often and there are no significant changes that could indicate where this traffic is coming from.
In the google webmaster tools I checked the backlinks for this specific page and it said there where no backlinks to this page.

Is it possible that there is a high traffic page linking to me that has not been indexed yet?

If you're using wordpress use a plugin called "Wassup", give you more info you'll ever need.

        Hi belgianguy,

Stop looking at backlinks, that is not going to tell you where your traffic is coming from. What you are looking for is referring pages, a.k.a referrals or referrers. You can find this information both in your server logs as well as any tracking service like Google Analytics. In Google Analytics you will find this information under Traffic Sources listed as Referring Sites.

Ok, I went there and then clicked on the page I was talking about and according to G. analytics this page has only had 38 pageviews.
But my overall pageviews on the dashboard seem to have counted the 1200 pageviews.
          Very strange!
