Hello,
Until yesterday on of my websites was positioned at the first page of google (#10 position). It hold this position for about 10 days.
Yesterday I changed the theme from the default theme to Inove and this morning I've noticed my google position drop to somewhere around 350!
Could it be because of the theme change?
The web address is www.directtvchannellineup.com
Thanks!

The other day I noticed my site jumped to the #2 spot on google for it's main keyword. It remained there for about 3 hours, and then it went back to where it was the day before.

Who knows what's going on in googles little world.. The Google Ghosts have been messin' with your head!!

I hate to be the one to say this to you but you got sandboxed bud.

I really could not give you a specific reason why Google does this, most of the time it is for some black hat technique that gets picked up or a real person at Google looks over your site and checks the do-follow links you have been putting out there and deems it to be spammy.

I have had some sites that took 6 months to come back up in the rankings after many many more links and added content didn't seem to make any difference.

Not much can get you out of it but time, maybe this thread will help a little:

help me to get out from google sandbox!

Sorry, I know it sucks. Best to just start building another site, thankfully they aren't that expensive to throw together. In the future pay close attention to your anchor texts and change them up more frequently, don't build more then 100 backlinks a day and do your best to keep them as relevant as you can.

Use a site like Do Follow Diver to search for relevant blogs to comment on. Google loves relevancy and more and more it seems they don't really like affiliate sites that are only built to sell an affiliate product.

Look at it as a minor setback and move on, its all you can do.

Any other changes? It could be that the new theme is not SEO optimized

      the current theme is good.
It has no SEO issues .I have seen the same theme in some high ranking sites.
May be some other factors caused the drop.

I all my years I have only seen this happen once before, it was one of my websites. I did change the title, I just thought it would be better key word, I changed the title back and there it was agian on top of google. If it doesn't go up in a week or so, then try to see if there is higher competition now. Maybe they saw your site and said,"hey I could do that." that's a hard question. But try to see what your competition is doing.

this is normal, I've experienced it many times whenever I made important or even minor tweaks on my website...just allow a few more days and you'll bounce back to original rankings again...check if your site is being duplicated also

    I'm little confused...
Have I got sandboxed or is it normal and I should wait patiently for a week...?

according to me you should wait for a week after a week if their is no improvement then you can check google sandbox or penality. Previously i am holding 2nd position but when i changed my title ranking are dropped but after a day i again got same position. So you have to wait for a week

You have very few links and those that you do have are low value means that you won't have a stable position for your site. You probably saw an initial "Query Deserves Freshness" boost and now your site has fallen to its proper level based on its backlink authority. Some people call this "the sandbox" but I prefer to call it what it actually is, simply a lack of authority links.

It is possible though that changing your theme got it re-evaluated by the Googlebot sooner and maybe more harshly than it might have been otherwise. However, don't panic and switch it back. Just keep it as is and for now, concentrate on getting good, high quality, links to your site. It's ranking will improve as you do this.
