Site Migration / SEO Question

I launched a site about a month ago and have since come up with a better domain name. The current site is indexed. Any recommendations on how to best migrate from the current site to the new site, without having any negative SEO or indexing issues? For example, if I shut down the current domain name and move the content (blog posts) over to the new domain name, will I get zinged for duplicate content? Any other pitfall or issues I should be aware of?

Move the contents to the new domain and 301-redirect the entire site (make sure to get a programmer to do it for you correctly unless you are one yourself).
