How to disable google

Is there a way I can turn off the way google ranks sites according to my history and visits?

When trying to see what my pages are currently ranked in google I usually have to clear all of my settings or use a proxy to find out my real ranking, otherwise google will rank my site higher just because I've visited it before.

yeah. it does become a pain. Basically what I do is just set my FF to automatically run the Clear everything whenever I close it. So say if I check just once a day, each time I close down FF, it will clear everything so when I come back its fine.

Thanks for that info, that actually works perfect for me because I use chrome. This way I can just load up firefox once a day and check rankings.

        Hi hotrodfrm,

If you are using chrome, you can simply open a new incognito window, which doesn't store personal search history.

Another technique that works for all browsers and doesn't force you to dump your personal web search history, or slow down your browser the way deleting cookies does, is to add the following queystring parameter to the URL in your address bar: &pws=0
