    Hi Akoni

Well you've got a few options (as always)... SEO, PPC, Banner Ads are the usual... But I would do some good keyword research for the products you are selling and write some good quality articles using those keywords.

You can either submit these articles or host them on your site. With any luck, you'll get picked up in Google for these articles and end up driving well qualified traffic to your site (ie, people interested in those particular products you sell).

    Hope that helps!

What e-commerce are you using? Most of them have little html on the page, and use dynamic url's. It makes it much harder to increase these pages in organic searches....

Do you have a homepage, or main website? Or is it just straight to your e-commerce? Maybe you can increase your traffic to your main webpage (homepage) with a nice big link to your e-commerce?

Write up some articles, get into some social networking... etc etc.

I've been researching this exact issue past 3 weeks now... I've been working on a huge e-commerce site for a friend (customer). He's going to have a homepage though that we are going to get up in organic search and then have his e-commerce linked to it.

Volusion is a pretty nice e-commerce site, been using that recently. Got some nice seo features, can fix up the url's etc. kind of like wordpress allows.

i've been using Interspire for my ecommerce site as for the homepage, don't have one but i created a page for reviews/blog for articles. yes it is kinda harder to increase the page i organic search, i have almost at least 1k unique visitors per month but is not enough, and with small conversion percentage. My main website just go straight to my e-commerce site though. I've set up a fb account for social networking too but not a whole lot of articles.

let me know what your thoughts about this. i'm no expert when it comes to seo, or increasing traffic, so i'm asking for help or if you can recommend to me some good effective traffic/seo services. thanks for sharing your thoughts about this.

          Hello Akoni,

I would like to suggest you that site should be well optimized and continues link building is required to get a good amount of traffic. I think its better to hire some SEO company to do this job.

          Regards

Hey Akoni, I own and promote a pretty successful ecomm site, here is my advice:

Go read a bunch of blogs and watch a bunch of free seo videos. Thats what I did....it doesn't make sense to go asking about SEO on the forum when there is a million articles online that go in depth about the topic already. No offense.

Second, get a hosting account, learn wordpress, and buy a bunch of domains in your niche. Set them up and promote them, linking them all to your main site. Simple as that you can increase traffic 5-10X in 6 months. It's learning the finer points that takes time, but only the work can teach you.

@millerb7 that is funny that you are using volusion, I just got a custom designed site from them. How do you like it? I think its got a ton of features but the learning curve can be steep, as everything is intertwined and you have to change 3 things to get one functionality, but overall very good. I WILL say they are somewhat screwing us on the hosting, but we are working it out. What's been your experience?

i've a lot of ebooks when it comes to seo and videos too, and have some software for it too and even have done some articles for my review/blog site and also submitted to article directories, linked some of my blogs on my ecommerce site, i've learned how to setup wordpress by myself, done the ecommerce site by myself through interspire, setup a hosting account, index my site, built backlinks on it and learned everything through self tutorial - of course by myself. no offense.

i need some solid advice from you or any other seo expert gurus, i need help because i can never do everything by myself, that is why i asked for an advice here for increasing my traffic on my ecommerce site thus would add up to more better conversion, and if there are any good SEO services that you can recommend (i've tried some services already) but of course experiences from others and recommendation would be much better and highly appreciated. So don't tell me that i need to read bunch of blogs or seo videos because i've done my research very well.
