Unique content + Add your URL to Google :p

Otherwise I use WordPress for most of my sites so I use the Google XML Sitemaps plugin. I think that helps. I also update my list of site update services (under Settings > Writing). Sometimes I use the cbnet Ping Optimizer plugin.

    Well, it really depends.
When you say "get your page indexed quickly", are you talking about black hat seo. Because usually in that case, excessive backlinks will do, especially from .gov & .edu sites

But if you mean "get your page indexed quickly" safely, then article marketing usually does the trick, then adding more content to the site, then a few backlinks fron .edu/.gov sites.

    -cheers

Hi Brad, I just found a very cool new little software that gets my sites indexed in minutes. It is called Website Indexer and I just wrote a post about it on my blog.

      For me it's

Social Bookmarking using Onlywire (or hand submit using roboform)
      Rss Submission using Rssbot
Write a press release submit to Pressbot

Find a dozen or so high PR, do follow, relevant backlinks and post a few comments on blogs or use profiles in forums.

I've been noticing that lately I'm having a heck of a time getting some type of newer sites indexed....it's crazy.....I created a webs.com site for a friend of mine for his new restaurant....but for the life of me....doesn't matter what I do towards getting it into Google it will not take.

The links are in Google that I used but the site is still not indexed yet....might be sandboxed though..

      ***UPDATE***

I just ran into this free tool in the "white hat" side of the Black hatworld forum.

The script supposably submits your url to around 3k directory sites to get you indexed pretty quickly. I just ran it on my site....it's been 30 minutes and it's still going strong... I will report back to you guys later today or tommorrow to see if it gets me into Google quickly.

I got stuck with a similar problem for one of my sites. Then it just clicked that I have an autoblog which gets like almost 90K organic visitors every month, and googlebot has started living on that blog(without paying any rent :p) .. so i just added that unindexed site to my autoblog's blogroll and bang, after a few hours that stubborn site was indexed.

I use Digg and some other social bookmarking sites. I have senuke so one submission with sb and rss sites does the trick.

I also use twitter and a couple of high pr web 2.0 profile links such as good.is

Its quicker to just submit to these sites than to write an article and get it approved.

    Funny you should ask...

First, in response to a few of you, I have heard that using the 'Add URL' page in Google actually makes it take longer because they throw your site into a pile that they plan to get to later.

More importantly, here's a technique that's so simple (yet brilliant!), many of you have probably never even heard of it or tried it. When you launch a site, go to a popular forum that gets crawled often where you've made quite a few posts that implements dofollow signature links (hint hint, this one) and throw your link in there by going to your user control panel and editing your signature. That link is instantly published on every post you've ever made in the forum anywhere, and while there is really no SEO benefit, it will get you indexed quicker than anything I've ever tried. It has never taken any of my sites more than a couple hours to get indexed, most within about 20 minutes. If you've seen a good number of my posts on here, you'll see that I change the link(s) in my signature almost every day.

After that, I go and throw a few spun articles into SEOLV

    Now go get indexed!

Its been worked on. Its a new site and design is still been finalized. We're getting the content in place first. Still getting a high opt-in rate despite the design.

When making an authority site it is content what matters. I've got some ugly sites that get hundreds of thousands of visitors a month.

A poor design is not something to be proud of, but design is secondary to content in my experience, providing that the site is easy to use and navigate.

You only have to see how successful Craigslist is.

Onlywire does the trick for me. I also age my domains sequentially so I only work on my websites that are at least 3 months old. While this may seem ridiculous, I've been doing it for years and I'm always working on "older" domains, not domains that were registered yesterday.

Onlywire is awesome to get several social bookmarks out there.

To keep from looking like I am being purely self promoting, I will make a comment on a relevant blog using my new site as the link. Then use Onlywire to book mark that site.

If you don't want to set up Onlywire and all it's accounts, try just using twitter or identi.ca

Both seem to get picked up very quickly.

Set up a feedburner account for the RSS feed. Its another way to Google at least to pick things up.

Create the link in a Google Knol or your Google Profile page.

If you are using WordPress, install the Google XML sitemap plugin that creates a sitemap of your blog that search engines can read.
You now want to add your blog's sitemap. This is how:

Step 1: From within the Google Webmaster tools website, click on the domain name you have just added and it will open up a Dashboard for your site. On the left hand side menu, click on "Site Configuration" and then "Sitemaps".
Step 2: Click "Submit a Sitemap" and enter the name of your sitemap. It should be sitemap.xml
It will take a few hours for the sitemaps to be analyzed and added. Then you can return here and make sure there are no errors, see how many URLs are being indexed and the time that Google last visited you. Even without the sitemap you will begin to get a list of the top search queries that your site is being found for, incoming links to your site, and the keywords that Google thinks your site is optimized for.

    Hey Brad,
I get indexed really fast usually under an our, and have an article on the 1st page of Google in usually under an hour with great links pointing back to my new site and will many times have traffic to the new site in under an hour. I might also ad that I have had my 1st sale on a new site using this method in under an hour as well according to Authorize net's logs.

    The method is brutal simple.

I write a 250 word ORIGINAL snippet and put it on Xomba with one link pointing to the home page of my new site and one to a deep page but basically on the same topic.

    That's it...
I get indexed, get links and get traffic all in under an hour.

Then if my Xomba snippet is hitting really good I blast 2,000 free classified ads at it (the Xomaba snippet NOT my site, crappy link juice).

This gets my Xomba a fair # of uniques and nails it to the #1 position and passes some power to my new site.

Maybe not brilliant or nothin, but that's just what I do,
    Hope that helps, OP

Look up website valuation tools or website stats, then you can submit your website to each, those gets ranked pretty fast. Also social bookmarking, article submissions, or posting on popular forums. Do not submit sitemap yet! It is actually better for ranking fast by having the search engines find you.

      Mike,
Step 4 has no bearing whatsoever on the indexing of your site with google. The googlebot that visits for adsense operates under a different index than the googlebot that visits to index your site up.

A quick socialbookmark on digg or reditt usually does the trick, however, making a blog post in a forum usually works well too. Also, another method that works is using a rapid indexer setup on stats websites...I was indexed in about 5 hours doing that, so yeah, it works, but the links seem to disappear after a couple days that showed up...
