Weird Google Indexing Issue

Hi all,

One of my sites has been doing something a bit weird lately. Basically, I have multiple posts on a Wordpress blog. We'll call them PostA, Post B, Post C, and Post D. Within my blog, the sidebar contains all of the posts that I have done so far (so all 4 are displayed).

If I search in Google for Post A, the post is found with no issues.

If I search in Google for Post B, Post C, or Post D...Post A shows up with a different META description. The Meta description has a bit of text from my Post A, but then picks up the links on the side bar. In turn, a user searching for Post B notices a title for a topic completly irrevelant to what they are searching for.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks!

That's really weird. Maybe you should just reset the meta descriptions.

      Hi all,

sorry for the bump but just wanted to see if anyone had any other tips? My site went away from the google SERPS for a few days so I figured it might
be fixed when it returned. Unfortunately it didn't and I'm still stuck with the same issue.

      Thanks!

Install the plugin All In One SEO Pack and fill out the information within the plugin.

        It should be solved.

Unfortunately, I already use that plugin and it is properly filled out. That is why this is so confusing for me.

Use the firefox view source and check if the meta and title is what you think it is.

Was that post ever published with a different title/meta? Even for a second. Google could have been spidering your site right then and index it that way. You can check when google spidered you site last time on your awstats or webmaster tools.

Did your change post titles, switched between each other recently?
What other plugins do you use? Might be an issue with that.
Also it could be some wrong code in the template.

Let us know when you find the issue so we can also avoid it.
