Squeeze Pages and SEO

I was just thinking, single page sites (sales pages, squeeze pages) can be difficult to rank for, because they only contain one page.

Has anyone though about adding articles to their pages? This is probably more suited to "Free eBook, enter your email" pages. But maybe add a tab with "Articles" and a list of short keyword rich articles.

Thoughts?

I think that a squeeze page should not have any distractions on it - you want them to sign up (or click the buy button if it is a sales page) so why give them to option of doing something else?

I never think about ranking my squeeze pages or sales pages - I use other pages to drive traffic to them. Besides if you had to do on page SEO for your sales page or squeeze page then it could easily ruin the flow of the words.

There are many such car insurance related sites which are getting SEO done.

  • Now a days, it's pretty much impossible to rank a typical single-page Squeeze Page.

Alternatively, you can create a whole blog based around your desired keywords, and simply place a massive opt-in form on the sidebar, so the blog's content ranks high and most of the visitors will see the opt-in form right away.

        Hi James

It is also very effective to use the blog strategy PLUS a lightbox coded into your footer.

        Cheers

I can't even recall seeing a squeeze page coming up on Google top 10 SERP?!!

Nowadays most of my squeeze pages are put in a separate directory, with the main directory containing a blog.

Of course, all the usual links such as privacy policy, terms and conditions and contact etc.. are on the squeeze page for Google Quality Score purposes.
