Hi.

If I was to submit an article to ezine then submit exactly the same to other directories, how does it effort possible link juice passed? Is it in any way diminished because they are the same articles?

I am unsure because there is are many services available for spinning yet people talk about the idea of submitting articles to directories so it will get published on other sites and blogs.

Cheers.

Jim

If your spanned articles get approved and published than a link is a link. I don't think the link will have less power.

Thanks. I suppose the only problem is that after publication, Google may have a problem indexing it as its already on the 'system'.

Have you ever seen some of the affiliate "reviews" for products? It's normally just the same thing one a bunch of website that's copy and pasted from the vendors affiliate tools, yet they all seem to rank well. Duplicate content really comes in to play when you publish the same thing on your own website multiple times. When it's published between different websites it's called syndication. Your real problem is going to be getting EzineArticles to publish your article. They hate it when you submit an article that is already online. If you want to submit your articles to EzineArticles, submit them there first and let them be approved before you go submitting them to a whole bunch of other article directories.

Second that. The only time Google will penalize you for duplicate content is when you have a lot of similar stuff on your own site. It's not sure that your similar articles will rank well in the search engines but in terms of passing link juice it shouldn't matter much.

As long as your duplicate content gets indexed your link gets indexed. I assume you're not interested in where your duplicate content ranks, you just want your links, embedded inside your duplicate content, to be indexed. Since G will index duplicate content, your links will get indexed.

But that doesn't mean G or Yahoo will show that link. Remember, both choose only show a % of the links they index.

It has both pros & cons. You will surely get a link but you can also be penalised by google for duplicate content.
