Top 3 aye? In which country? The moon? I dont see it anywhere, and besides, of course it will rank well for such a LTK.

Type in red twinky paint left hand brushes with flashing LED's.

    Thats ranking well too

don't see you on the front page at all...and a tip: you want to focus on "buying" key words...that is keywords some one is going to search when they want to buy something...

Never do searches if you are logged into Google, it will skew your results. While logged into their services they track your moves and rank results based on not only your search but your browsing history as well from what I understand. Make sure you are completely logged out of Google before doing any searches if you want to get anywhere close to accurate results.

I think that you are right. I just applied what you said, my website rank did changed. I don't like this at all. There seem to be a huge boost in the rank when I logged in google. I did even see that I'm ranked 1st position in google while i logged in just now. This is ridiculous.

Let me put it this way: "what I'm seeing is not actually what others are seeing"

Thanks for sharing your useful thought with me. I could have never know about this stuff ever if you didn't tell me.

      +1 Absolutely

And to expound on that -- either use a rank checker (SEO MOZ) or check from separate IP addresses. Matt Cutts confirmed that IP addresses are selected randomly to see how upcoming/proposed algorithms perform.

This is one of my weirdest discovery about google of all time ever. People think that I'm insane but I saw everything in my own eyes. Oh well...

did you log out off Google when you checked? How many searches are done monthly for these words? Not wanting to put you down but it doesn't seem like many would write these exact words.

Search from scroogle.org to get a better idea of where you're probably ranked.

Note: not scroogle . com! that's a porn site....

Google results are affected by your searching and surfing. I notice one of my website I use to commonly visit would appear top when searching. However when I use another computer in the same area the rankings are completely different

Sharing it here would only help it - you probably just got a temporary boost while Google checked to see if people like it and now it's going where they think it belongs.

LOL no it has nothing to do with you posting it here. I don't think you ever were on page one as many have said it was your own google using cache memory helping you out.

Even if it was like many have said that that exact search will very seldom be searched.

      Good luck though

Technically if you're sharing the link here you are probably getting a do follow back link which should eventually help your link building process.

I don't know why it's depreciating though. I remember I did that too. I shared my success of a phase I targeted which was getting me lots of traffic to my opt in page and I was ranking #1 but soon after I post a thread the rankings drop.

The answer I can think of is that people compete for the same phases because they realize how easy and profitable it is?

Don't worry about it. I bet you've lost nothing cause I seriously doubt that anyone is searching for this exact long string of words.

I was very happy when i saw my page on third postion. Now I'm feeling discouraged after i rechecked it. Actually my blog is new, only less than 3 months old. I'm not lying about this. I don't know why google changed my blog rank so fast. It shocked me.

It is likely that Google is not changing your blog rank. Google shows customized search results based on your search history.

I found you on page 2 in Google. I think what can add to your success would be to target keywords that people search for. That should be words people use when surfing the Web on search engines. You can use keyword search tools that can assist you on that. I hope that helps. To your success.

any jiggling activity you undertook the same time the post went live could have caused this to happen. however, over a period of time the ranking will slip down if you do not do anything to keep it there.

I only ask because i think Google's search results are skewed to suit you based on previous searches if you are logged in. I could be wrong!

Hi @mnonline, I would check out your analytics to see what keywords people are actually entering your site from when they type credit card related search queries into Google. This will give you a better idea of search terms you are ranking for, but more importantly that people are also searching for.

You obviously haven't grasped the concept of blogging.

The concept is to have hundreds/thousands and if possible millions of keywords ranking in Google.

If you think it's about ranking the homepage for a few keywords you;re wrong. Get out there and rank lots of keywords. Good Luck.

If my site can get to the real top 10 of google for highly competitive keywords. Right now I need to figure out what keywords work best to optimize for top 10 rank.

My site is still new. It just got indexed a few weeks ago. I think that google liked my site. I'm kind of new to SEO. I don't know if i can outrank my competitors since the keywords i wanted to rank are extremely competitive. I need some ideas. Should i keep adding more contents? What should i optimize?

As rahulr suggested about adding backlinks. I did have over 20 backlinks. Most are relevant links to highly authority sites like ezines, squidoo, hubpages, plus some links from credit card debt related site. those sites have google pagerank of 6 at least. I hope that I'm on the right track.

Keep adding backlinks. Get some link diversity -- comment on blogs, place links, etc... but, shoot for high PR sites obviously.

I would also recommend making sure that your site's architecture is set-up correctly. Alt Image Tags; 404, 302 & 301 redirects are properly set-up; title tags are set-up correctly ; and on page content is optimized
