Okay. I will start this out, but I figured it would be cool to post a few different methods people are using to get their sites ranked quickly.

1st. I make sure my on page seo is in order.
2nd. Creat a sitemap and submit it to major search engines as well as submit the url.
3rd. I ping the site and a few individual articles or pages on pingomatic.com
4th. I submit to google blogs.
5th. I submit it to at socialmarker.com to several different social bookmarking sites such as digg or stumble upon.

Hope this helps some people. I know there are many other ways, this is just what has been working for me. I'd love to hear more methods.

I used Digg and Delicious and it always worked. Of course I included these too when I'm trying to get my new site indexed:

    1. RSS aggregators and Google Slingshot
    2. Forum signature ( but I used digitalpoint)
    3.
What's the best lightning fast google indexing site ?

If your website doesn't has any problem with Google ( I mean your websites didnt be penalized by Google ) the steps are OK.
But i don't recommend to do above steps every day or more. some of these steps are fine to be done two or three times a wee. Its only my idea.

Op stated it was to get indexed not to get ranked so no you don't repeat it.

I agree I wouldn't do this often. Mainly I do this once and my sites are indexed within 48-72 hrs at the longest.

Thats actually pretty close to what I do except I have a few sites I backlink from that I noticed over time always get indexed. Also give me a modest Pr bump pretty quickly.

Looks interesting - I've tried something similar to get my 2 latest sites indexed - but so far nothing in the last 24 hours.

Patience is a virtue - at least that's how I'm feeling today!

I usually get my new stuff indexed within 24 hours. Here is what I do:

    1. I post on a 2 year old blogger blog I have and include a link to the new site.

    2. I usually use wordpress, so as long as the keyword research is spot-on and I use all the tricks like all-in-one-seo and tags etc, it the site usually appears fine within 24 hours.

    3. I ping all the posts and pages using a couple of programs. I always make sure I have a good amount of posts and pages to ping from day one.

    4. Start building links from day one and keep going.

I just submitted a sitemap through Webmaster Tools for a site that had been hanging for a few days.

It literally only took a few minutes to get the site indexed after that.

One guy wrote on his blog, that he added a random post plugin on one of his wordpress blogs frontpage, which dramatically increased the crawl rate. But in the same time he admits, that the site is new, though he has the domain for some quite time already. Don't have any blogs myself, so can't confirm this fact.

  • There is no short cut to getting indexed by the search engines. But there are certainly right ways and wrong ways. Digg works like magic. You will be able to see your Digg posts indexed by Google in just few minutes after the submission. Start with Digg.

    On site 1:I tried Digg+Mixx+Reddit+Delicious
    site 2:added to identi.ca profile + pinged

It has been over 48 hours and still no index. All sites have google sitemaps + are 4 word domains.. not sure if that matters.

My new domains have typically indexed themselves without me even touching them within 24 hours until the last few weeks/months... everything takes a lottt longer to index now.

Anyone else having problems with this?

It is found that Google seems to be indexing pages quicker, although not necessarily in a day. Tagging on social networking sites is a big factor in helping Google find your site and the Sitemap is a must.

Getting indexed is the easy part, getting ranked for good keywords is the challenge.. However, for a brand new site..

      1. Get all the on page SEO right, META title and description with keyword, include keyword in content etc.. and make sure my internal linking structure is right.
      2. Ping my new posts.
      3. Open up a Google webmaster tools account and submit my sitemap.
      4. Submit RSS feed to RSS directories.
      5. A small bit of blog commenting with backlinks.

That is enough to get indexed easily.
