Can an Autoblog Help to Rank Better in Google?

Hi guys,

I have a static html website and want to increase it's ranking for the main keywords I'm targeting (competition is mid-high), thus I'm planning to create an extra page (like mydomain.com/articles) which would be a wordpress blog to submit fresh articles. I hope that this way I get better results in SEO for my static pages.

However I have two questions:

1. Does such a solution really help to get better rankings for my static pages? I think that the fresh content could boost my website's overall rating.

2. If the answer is yes to the first question, does it also work if I would use autoblogging with wp-robot and wp-unique? Or Google is not that stupid to see it as unique, quality content?

If somebody has experience in this field, I would be very grateful for every advice!

Thanks, Dave

i am not quite sure how this should affect your rank to SERP's. Well all you can do is to send some linkjuice of your blog towards your webpages but this won't help much unless your blog has a high PR. SEs rank only pages not whole sites.

      Well, I thought the following:

      1. In my experience, Google loves content, this is the reason why websites with a lot of unique content rank better than websites with only a few pages (even if the second website has more and better links).
If Google loves my website, it is more willing to place all of my pages in a higher position, like you see it at article directories, etc.

      2. All my articles will link to my main static pages (due to the menu structure) which could give them a boost.

But I'm here to learn, so please correct me if I'm wrong!

      Dave.

      Thanks for the asnwers guys!

And what about using autocontent with wp-unique? I will gladly test it on a new blog, but would you also use it on an established site?

I don't want to lose my present ranking, but if wp-unique works like described on the salesletter (wpunique.com) and some videos, I could basically get better positions for 0 work.

Does anybody have experience in it?

      Dave.
