The best way is to diversify your link building with a number of methods. Don't use only one.

You can use article marketing, blog commenting, forums (profile, posts and signatures), web 2.0 & social bookmarking.

From what I know, the best links you can get, are in context links from high page rank pages (not domains). As these are the best, they are also the hardest ones to get....

You are exactly right.... To really sum it up.

Consistency Is Key! - Along with Variety.

Contextual Links are fantastic, which you will get from article marketing - which I think is the best.

Concentrate on building Authority Type Backlinks.

I would say to use all the methods that you can find that are legit to make your site seem as natural as possible.

Scrapebox is one heck of an awesome Google scraping tool that you can use for any reason you choose.

It does have spamming abilities but it also has so many other features that are not spam...like rolling a large list of links into an xml (RSS) file that you can host on free sites like Google's feed burner and even submit your RSS feed to your own custom RSS aggregated sites.

I also like this tool to locate tens of thousands of profile backlinks and check the PR of each site to create profile backlinks on. It doesn't do this for you but it will pretty much tell everything you need to know then use Roboform to create the profile links.

You're definitely right about Scrapebox being a useful little tool...

Besides it's commenting capability, it's a fantastic tool to find lots of places to leave backlinks on.. I used it to find .EDU profile link sites as well! Love it!

I suggest you to do blog commenting on High PR blogs it really helps you to get quality back links. you should also use article submission, directories submission, forum commenting and social media marketing to promote your website.

I would suggest that before you submit your article or story in directories be sure that it is relevant to your article to make it informative useful to others and they'll be back then for more on your story. hope it helps.

I recommend that whatever you do of these do your best to contribute to the website. Don't just spam for a link. If you are going for profile links I personally think you should at least be somewhat active in the community or try to contribute something. Don't just go and leave your profile link. By doing this it should help your links stick for the long term.

Example on the profile links. If you participate in some conversations this will help your profile from being removed as moderators often remove inactive profiles.

It depends. For example, if you submitted 200 articles with one anchor text each that links back to your URL, it doesn't mean you get 200 links. Links must be indexed first before it counts.

Please elaborate. Are you saying that the article that you submit to article directories must be indexed before it counts as a link?

Thanks for this info. I was wondering why I never good as many backlinks as articles submitted. Is that true about all backlinks? Do the forum post have to be indexed before those links coun as well? Please elaborate and supply more info.

The best type of backlinks is one-way links and you can ignore reciprocal links if you're thinking about it. Presently using EzArticlelink to get my one-way links.

I have been building 100s of backlinks from forum profiles and my website is currently on the 7th page of Google. I think it works. However, I do not see any of those links in my link details or in any searches I do on my domain.

Can someone tell me why is that? Or how I can check on how many of those profiles are still there and how many of them get deleted. Not that I spam any forum at all.

As I am using lots of method to get backlinks, most of the time I am using different softwares to automate the process and save times. Also, I take care of the fact that my anchor text are different. And I do deep linking for my websites too.

Generally I pick up any method and do 10 backlink for my inner page with the main keyword and then 10 backlink for my home page. Then, 10 backlink for the same page with secondary keyword and then 10 backlink for my home page with secondary keyword. Then repeat this process again.

Also, I take care of my backlinks too. I make sure that my backlinks get indexed in google through BIE.

This method had built authority for all the websites I have. I do not gurantee it may work for others, but seems to work for me.

Article marketing gives you relevant text links in your resource box. Relevancy is what you are after. Relevancy is what allows your PR0 dot info domain to rank higher in search results than a higher PR dot com site for the same keyword. It is all about relevancy. If it wasn't, Google would be out of business.

Article Marketing is a good and cheap way to start out. It takes some time though.

Automated software for blog commenting can also be good but NOT if you use it like a spam tool. Use it to find people's high pr blogs for instance, and go to those blogs and post meaningful relevant answers.

The best way to get the more backlinks try to comment in the higher Page Rank site and the forums.Even their also other methods to get the Back links is Article Submission and the social bookmarking.

I use scrapebox to find high PR blogs. The blog list is clickable with an inbuilt browser so you can scrape the blogs, sort by page rank then click the link, read the post and leave a useful comment without even leaving scrapebox. All in one solution.

I also use it to scrape for profile links and use it the same way. There are lots and lots of things you can do with scapebox without using the spam commenter. It's probably the most useful tool in my arsenal.

The RSS feed builder is really useful as well.

Just wanted to add a very critical tip. If you are using blogger please remember to disable the navigation bar as this could get your blog suspended or closed if someone decided to report it - happened to me and its the worst thing that they could do to your efforts.
