Separate YouTube Adsense?

I couldn't find the answer to this, and I'm hoping someone is kind enough to lend advice.

I have two Gmail accounts. My primary Gmail has an Adsense account associated with it (I've had 60 bucks in it for many months, but I abandoned Adsense long ago).

I have another Gmail address associated with my YouTube account (confusing, I know, but please stay with me). My videos are getting a lot of hits, and I'd like to activate Adsense for it. However, I can't figure out how to transfer my current Adsense account to include this address that's associated with YouTube. When I attempt to opt-in to AdSense, I have to affirm that I do not have an existing Adsense account, but of course I do.

It won't let me change the Gmail address associated with my YouTube.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance : )

I'll give you the short/long answer. You need to do a tad bit more research
on youtube and adsense. Your answer lies there.

A lot has happened since you abandoned it, partner!
    (pun intended)

I don't feel entitled to answers from other Warriors, and I always appreciate their generous assistance, but I also don't see the need for deliberately unhelpful and condescending replies. In case you are genuinely trying to help, thanks for your response.

I'm continuing to research the question, but for whatever reason, I can't find the answer. If I figure it out, I'll update this thread.

You can't just decide to add adsense to youtube videos.
You have to be a youtube partner.
For that, you need an invite I believe.
You may be able to apply for it, but you need one heck
        of a youtube channel.

        No condescending intended.

Thank you for your reply Paul -- I didn't mean to jump on you.

I have the option to manage my Adsense account as shown in this pic:
I guess that doesn't mean that my vids are going to be monetized with that account, huh? I was aware of the invitation system, but seeing that option to manage the account, I had assumed (incorrectly, I guess) that my account was eligible.

My bro got invited for some review videos he did. Maybe I'll get an invite soon.

You can't use your adsense account to put adsense on youtube videos.
I think every channel has that link showing, whether you are an adsense
publisher or not. That's why when clicking that link it takes you to no
page to set it up. Your channel must be huge and quite popular.
Very huge and very popular to monetize it. But that monetization
is not via a regular adsense account. It's revenue sharing in the
            true sense.
