As title - Is building back links before your site's indexed good or bad?

I've got my site set up but it hasn't been indexed yet. I want to start building back links just now, do you think it's a bad idea?

Yea just do it gradually and naturally. (no rhyme intended) We usually built links for google to index them hence index your site.

Do It Now! haha as stated already the backlinks will help your site to get indexed faster. It can also help to place you in the serps.
