I have been able to get a few sites ranked with a little to moderate competition with really no problems. However, the problem I am having is with a review style website. I have three products listed on my main page with links to a full review of them. I also have quality articles related to the products I am promoting.

For some reason, I cannot get the main page of my website ranked though, just sub-pages. What can I really do to just get the front page ranked rather then the articles/short review pages?

Your main page is not focused to a single theme. Same thing like adwords giving you poor Q score for unfocused pages. Focus it on one product..optimize it, build backlinks and watch the miracle. pm me if you want a fee copy of a book I have on the subject.
