I had exactly the same issue with a blogspot blog. I created a post with unique content etc, google indexed it and i was #1 for this keyword. But then, some moron has stolen my content and published it on his website. After a week, google deindexed my blog post, and this guy with stolen content is now #1 and i'm nowhere in search results. This **** happens all the time. :\

I guess that kills the myth of duplicate content.
Perhaps his site had a better user experience.
      You never can tell.

Your sites do not live in a vacuum. The internet changes.
Searches change. Dynamic world, not static.

Just one of similar threads this forum gets bombarded with:
      http://www.warriorforum.com/adsense-...y-help-me.html

Google does not de-index for duplicate content. They de-index because people
do things and swear it just does not matter. Then they find out it does matter,
and google gets the blame. Tip: Everyone gets a little de-index now and then.
      The nature of the business.

If you are constantly getting de-indexed, that's a symptom of a major disease.

People, stop worrying about google traffic. If you worry about getting real
visitors to your site for real reasons using other methods, your site will fly
high and google will actually get to love it. And even if they don't, guess what?
You now have a stream of regular visitors from real sources.

If you were disappointed in your results today, lower your standards tomorrow.

Guys search this thread. If you use this, you might be able to get your position back. But I am not an affiliate and any technical questions MUST go to Steve Fullman, the developer not me.

      See:-

      http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...relegated.html

I use it and it works well.

I concur. The same thing happened to me. Not much you can do other than just build backlinks to it.

Pages tend to rank higher for a bit when links are coming in. Fresh links peak your page then it ill palteu out to the normal ranking. The best way to rank higher is to build more links.

Go to Feedity RSS Feed Generator - Create RSS Feed, Track Website Changes and create a RSS feed for your hub. Then download RSS Submit Software Free! and submit your RSS feed.

Then submit your profile RSS feed as well as your hub's tag's RSS feeds.

After that go to RSS Mix - Mix any number of RSS feeds into one unique new feed! and combine all of your feeds into one master feed and then submit that.

This will boost your hub's ranking.

    Enjoy!

I built a few web 2.0 sites a few months ago, they all had unique content, many pages + blog posts and suddenly two of them got deindexed.

I read somewhere that Google is taking action towards sites which they think are created with the sole purpose of gaining and passing pagerank??

I am not an affilate marketer but I have also read that they are heavily clamping down on affilates"!
