Hi all,

Would having just one word in the index page title effect my rankings in google? What is better, to use 1 keyword around which the site is focused or something like Keyword + words Guide or something similar?
#index #page #title #word

If say your site was about 'cars' your title could be:

Cars - Information About Cars And Automobiles

Its best to be descriptive but keep the main targetted keyword at the start of the title

You dont need anyone else to comment as thats bascially it!

Your rankings are effected to so many different thing that one pages title is niether here nor there if the rest of the site isnt up to scratch. You need to make sure you whole site is optimized along the lines of what I said title wise and all other aspects such as unique content, h tags in correct places with correct use of keywords, internal link stratergies, good site structure and other factors!

One page is only a very small piece of the puzzle!

I think it's better to reflect the description for the page in its title... So a consise description is better than just one word.

You should always try to use 2-3 keywords in your title. Because one word title doesn't help that much in the SEO.
