Hi guys a new website I am working on keywords is XXXX XXXX london. the first result in the normal web results is the google map results. My site is not coming up until results plus 50. So I was wondering does anyone have any experience of improving their google map listing results in this situation? I have a feeling it may have to do with number of reviews submitted...?

Google maps, true google maps, is not SEO.

It's based on relevancy, location, and ratings.

When you sign up, use a REAL business phone number, your REAL
address, your REAL business. If you mess this up, it will be fatal.

If this is really your concern, you can't do anything.
Relevancy, location, and ratings. You have little control over those, if
you are honest. Has nothing to do with traditional SEO.

If you were disappointed in your results today, lower your standards tomorrow.

Well, actually there are ways to improve the position of your google maps listing.

The most important is how many citations the business in question has from local directories, vertical niche websites, and yellowpage type sites.

On top of that, having more photos and videos in your listing is said to help your maps listing.

There is debate about whether or not having reviews helps the ranking, but I would say if you can get some legit ones, go for it.
