I think Google is getting slower...

They are refreshing their cache of some of my sites more slowly now. Their cache of one of my blogs, for instance, would usually refresh within 60 seconds of my posting a new article. Now, it takes them about a week or two to re-cache after fresh content is added. I think they are slipping. Any thoughts?

it could be the other way round. Your website must be new or might not have sufficient links for Google to navigate to your website.
Therefore it might not be caching your web pages.
Google cud be slow but not for just a particular site.

I'd say google thinks your site is slipping.

Why should they keep crawling your site?

Google does what it wants, when it wants.

Why do people think if google does not give their site love,
then it must be that mean ol' google?

Maybe they just don't feel your site's worth being on the front burner.

      Stranger things have happened.

Google is in the business of providing a service. That may or may
not include crawling and the cache of your site.
