Some pages not in SERPs

Hi all,

One of my sites has been active now for about 8 months and generates decent revenue, but only based on a few keywords. I used a bit of a silo site structure for the site where I had various smaller sub posts pointing to my main post. I repeat this about 5 times on this site. Two of the five pages are on Page 1, whereas the others are no where to be found (very low competition).

All of the pages are indexed in Google, but when searching for the keyword i'm targeting, it finds me on Page 2 but for one of my sub-posts. Does this mean that Google is considering my main page as useless content? I have heard that Google will not display a site if it does not consider it provides enough content.

If that is the case, should I just create a new article, or replace the old one?

Thanks!

    You should think this way:

Good is not considering your pages as useless contents but is considering other pages
    important than yours.
SO just build more backlinks to your pages and you should get them to the top of SERPs.

I think you should do a little more research on your competitors, especially the top ten rankings-What makes them rank above of all. What you should do is to find a market samurize trail version (SEO software) then enter you main page keyword. MS will bring you up the top ten PRs then let's see how many backlinks they got and where are those backlinks from and look for more than these. You should then take note the contents of the top ten, I think most of them are sub-pages of any websites which contain valuable contents along with well theme words that google gives much value to them. The only one reason that google pushes up the sites is unique and quality contents. After doing the research, I think you should know what more should be added to your site-quality contents or backlinks, etc.

    Hope this helps!

Make sure you link to every page on your site from an outside source.

    Including your privacy policy.

Just mix up the anchor text and dont use the same term too much. the more terms the better.

See the competition is not the issue at all. I've already researched that numerous times and this is a very beatable market especially just to reach Page 1. My problem is Google decided to index one of my sub-pages and not my main page based on that keyword. The sub-page is not nearly as optimized as the main page. I'm very confused as to why this might be happening!
