Hi dear warriors ,
A quick question about seo
Do the pages of the same site have different PR and may be a youtube page has a pr 0 ?
I am asking that coz I am using a plugin called ( seoquake)
I have installed it in my firefox in order to get the page rank of the first 10 page of a certain keyword in the first page of google .
But when I used it for a certain keyword ( am mobile brand name ) it gave me all the pages of page rank 0 .
While of course they aren't of pr 0 as was from them the site of the brand , amazon and youtube ...
Can it be coz the pr of a certain page in a site is different from the pr of the main site ?
or what is the prob. you think ?

  • Yes. Every single page on the internet has it's own specific pagerank.

    Just because Amazon has a high pr doesn't mean that every page on their website is that PR. Basically, every page on the internet has it's own freestanding PR.

  • Yes, PR varies from page to page. The home page of EZA, for example, I believe is PR6 but when you post an article, that page starts at PR0.

  • I am sorry for inconvenince but , does that mean I may have a youtube page of PR 0?
    The problem is that I use another add-on that indicates the PR of google , bing and yahoo .
    When I enter the site that is shown of PR 0 in the first add-on ( seo quake ) , the other plugin give the main PR of the home page of the site .
    I mean : b4 entering the site ( in the search result page ) Seoquake tells me that this page of PR 0 , And After entering the site , the other add-on tells me a high PR of this site
    So any explanation please ?

  • May be the second plug-in you are using is showing the Site's Homepage's PR than the specific sub-page you're currently visiting.

    To make it simple - You could also check an individual page's PR with many web based tools. You could go to - PageRank PageRank Checker and just enter the complete page URL and you will get that specific page's PR.

    Quick Explanation: XYZ.com has PR 6
    SEO Quake shows PR 6 in the search result
    The other plug-in shows PR 6 when you visit that individual page.

    http://www.xyz.com/abc.html has PR 0
    SEO Quake shows PR 0 in the search result
    The other plug-in shows PR 6 when you visit that individual page. May be the reason is that the other plug-in still wants to show main site's PR.

    So enter http://www.xyz.com/abc.html in the web based tool, you will get your result.
