Hello Warriors,

I'm interested in wanting to learn on how to go about into building backlinks to a non-english websites or blogs. For example, I've seen a vendor in Clickbank that create his product in Spanish and German language as well which I think is not a bad idea after all. The questions are :

1) How do you go about into promoting that kind of stuff when it's in a foreign language? For example, if I want to create a blog to promote his stuff, say in Spanish, what is the best solution for doing the translation? Any translation tools do you guys have in mind that you would recommend or would it be better to use some sort of translation service whereby you pay somebody to do the translation for you? What are your thoughts?

2) As for the website or blog, how do I go about into doing the backlinking process? Is it the same process that we normally do for our blogs, e.g social bookmarking, submitting articles to web 2.0 properties, forum commenting, profile backlinking etc?

3) Would it be alright to create links from English speaking sources like the Web 2.0 properties, forum commenting, profile backlinking to these foreign language blogs? Is it effective or should the links be coming from the same language (e.g Spanish) sources and not English?

I appreciate if you guys could share your thoughts. Thanks guys

Regards,
Didi

    Hi,

    1. I don't recommend you using translator tools, because they produce unreadable content. I normally hire somebody and pay a higher one time fee, but I get quality (and chance for conversion. It depends on how long term you are thinking about the website (you can even use a cheap translator for quality between perfect and software)

    2. I normally do the same process mixed with some backlinks from article directories or link directories from the target country. You can find a dozen of those sites in german for example.

    3. I'm using 99% "english links" for my german website, and I'm in pos. 1 in Google.de for my keywords. All that Google does is a link appeared a few weeks ago next my url that says "translate this page into german". But my positions are good.

    I hope that this helps.

    Cheers, Dave

      Dave,

Thanks for the reply. Seems like your 99% 'english links' seems to work pretty well. If this is the case, I think the backlinking process doesn't seems to be as complicated as I thought it would be.

May I know how you go about into doing the translation for your German site? Are you using a translation service for the content of your German site?

I wrote an article in English but put my French anchored keyword in the author box.

Now in my article(author box), I mentioned that the link will go to a French language page on my site.

I will also use the keyword(no link) in the article with a translation thus it's educational in a way too.

I will do other tasks the same way(English content with French keywords).

Be aware that some services don't like accent like I mentioned on my blog:

          Thanks!

For me, French SEO is rarely done at this time but would like to do more later on since the competition is lower/pay less too than English.:p

            McGrath,

I agree with you. Apart from English speaking market, I have always think that there are also money making opportunities in foreign market as well. It's just that I'm not too sure as to how to enter into these foreign market and doing the SEO.

But even with these few thoughts from you guys, it does help a lot into clearing some of the clouds that's been hanging in my head pertaining to this issue

              Hello,

First of all let me say that this is my first comment in the warrior forum and my English is not to good. I prefer to call it spanglish; so please excuse my typing mistakes.

I know this post is a few months old post, however, wanted to make a comment about this topic.

I must say that I am not an expert in backlinking and found this post looking for additional information to learn more about it; however, I do have some experience on the Hispanic internet marketing.

One of my products is in the first position on the most competitive category of CB Español for more than two years and another product fluctuate between the third and fifth position of the same category for even longer.

The main reason these two products had stay on this positions for that long is not just only for the quality of the products; but mainly because of the sales letters which I wrote keeping in mind the Hispanics ways of thinking and using words and phrases that will convince us to take action.

Didi is right, there is a huge money making opportunity in the foreign market, mainly because there are not many good quality digital products (as least in Spanish)

People are starving for good quality products. Most of the ones available are not good at all and people are tired of seen the same promotions over and over again of the very few worth promoting.

On the other hand, there are many products and software in English that if they were in Spanish it is almost for sure that they will be successful.

I've never tried to connect with other internet marketers (no even in spanish); however, if you have a good product in English and will like to get that product in the Hispanic market, I am sure I can help to make it happen or if you don't have a product and want to promote some of the existing ones I can also assist on that.

I don't want this reply to sound like a promotion, because is not. I just know that combining my knowledge in the Hispanic market with your internet marketing experience, there is a lot of easy money to be made.

PM me at any time and once again, please pardon my English.

i just want to thank you all guys, im having trouble with a Danish websites too, after reading this post, I felt much better. ^_^

also, correct me if im wrong, building links outside your localization will still increase the ranking of your website in your local Google searches as long as the domain is hosted in the location in which you want to rank in the search engine.

      cheers
