Banned from Google Adsense, Now What??

Need some help manuevering past a recent Google ban and need some advice from those experienced in side stepping the issue.

They banned me because I was buying cheap traffic and they detected some suscipious click activity. I wasn't trying to game them at all, actually forgot I was even running adsense on that site but oh well. I tried appealing and when they asked the question about purchasing traffic i said no, I think I should have said yes because they still canned me after the appeal. Buy anyway here's my questions.

I know you can sign up again with a different name, address, bank account and always sign in from a different ip. Got all that planned but heres's some further precautions I've been thinking about

1.) I have a dedicated server that I run a bunch of my sites on but thinking that if I open a new account, and put ads on any site that is hosted on the same sever, Google may start getting suspious. NOTE: I know not to run adsense on the same site that got canned but just wondering if Goog goes that far as to try to tie together sites running on the same server (same ip, same nameservers). Anybody have any experience with this?

2.) If I have other domains with the same whois info as the url that got banned. If I place adsense ads on them with my new account, will Google detect that and ban my new account?Need some help manuevering past a recent Google ban and need some advice from those experienced in side stepping the issue.

Use a different method of monetization. It's not worth gaming Google just to find yourself banned again - which happens to most people who try to get away with.

There are plenty of other ad systems you can use.

LOL don't game Google but game whoever else is less likely to ban you. I like that thinking lol.

If you can get traffic by buying low and monetizing with adsense, then my belief is you can make a ton more using other monetizing methods. Try CPA, they have a lot of of offers that run well in the place of adsenses. Go with the free offers they tend to convert very well, even better than adsense.

If you must have adsense, then you can either start an corp and use the corporate name or use someone else's name to start an new acct.

Look for Prosperent. They have contextual ads similar to adsense, but mostly for products on a CPS model. Payouts can be rather high in some niches.

If you do try to get back into adsense, you should do it from a new computer or at least get rid of all LSOs which are flash cookies. You also cannot put adsense on any of your current sites that had it on them. Will be a dead giveaway.

      Good luck.

Seems to me an awful lot of work to go to when you already know you're on shaky ground. I know a few people who have done the same thing, were extremely careful about trying to 'hide' things, etc., and ended up getting banned again a short time later as 'connected to an account that was banned'.

Unfortunately, there just aren't any good alternatives to Adsense in terms of their range of ads, payout, etc.

Seems to me a much better long-term plan would be to refocus your efforts into something else.

Thanks for the tips everybody Prosperant looks promising, Kontera I've tried before and wasn't that great and infolinks looks like they only do the hover over ads. Any other ideas keep em coming.

Google probably banned your IP too so that's no good. But, the question is, why even mess with google to begin with? It's not like they're the largest ad network, they only have about 7% market reach for online traffic.

There are so many ad networks you can go to that are way larger than google and will make you the same amount of revenues or more. Just go some place else to get ads.

best move on from adsense... try ad networks like kontera, do more affiliate marketing work around clickbank and yes also CPA. Try pay-per-lead programs and those with free offers. to be honest, i am fed up of adsense and spend more time on those anyhow as i can actually earn something for my efforts.

Checked prosperant their technology is pretty hot. You can customize your ad units with options to show or not show products pics, straight text ads etc.. But the drawback i found right off the bat was relevancy and/or lack of product. Typed in ringtones for example and it pulled up a bunch of mobile phone accessories instead of ringtone related sites but will keep trying to find other solutions.

And in most cases they will catch you and ban that account for having a previously banned account. It happens to people all the time.

If you are really stupid, than yes. But if you use other name, address, bank account, google e-mail account ( including all other google services like blogger, webmaster tools, analytics ), and a different ip, than they will never catch you. Also, never use the new adsense account on your old websites.

BTW, I know people who have 3 google adsense accounts - 1 private and 2 other for their businesses.

Yes I was banned for driving cheap traffic to the site. Google wasn't saying they were banning because of that but for suscipious click activity and when I went to appeal it, that was one of the questions and I answered no. I think if said yes, maybe they would have given me a pardon but who knows. So just a warning to anyone buying 10k visitor type traffic for $10 bucks don't do it on any site you have adsense on.

Your cheap traffic was probably repeatedly clicking your links from the same IP and thats what got you the ban.

It's one of the things that AdSense pretty much spells out explicity as a big no-no.

              "Traffic Sources
... [Google Ads must not] Be loaded by any software that can trigger pop-ups, redirect users to unwanted websites, modify browser settings or otherwise interfere with site navigation. It is your responsibility to ensure that no ad network or affiliate uses such methods to direct traffic to pages that contain your AdSense code."

Most 'cheap traffic' programs send the traffic via pop-ups or redirects.

People still get caught taking all of those precautions more than you think.

And it's perfectly legitimate for someone to have a personal Adsense account and 2 business accounts. That is acceptable by Adsense guidelines and publisher standards.

I don't think advising people to try and build a business on shaky ground like that is responsible. If you get banned from Adsense, it's time to either open a business account or find a new business model.

Any website that did well with Adsense could more than likely turn a decent profit with the right CPA ads.

For CPA, doesn't the site to be designed around the products you are marketing?

I have a site on a religious topic that would likely upset some people (not originally designed to make money) that I would like to monetize some but I do not want to risk my adsense account on it.

Any suggestions on what would be good for that?

On sites where I don't want to use Adsense, I like Chitika. You can make their ad blocks look very similar to Adsense.

I got banned, too. I have been thinking about setting up my daughter with adsense and run sites for her. Think about some other family members you could set up--maybe someone you are financially responsible for anyway, like spouse, child or parent. You could also split the commissions with them. The idea of setting up a bunch of fictitious accounts bothers me, somehow.

I substituted Infolinks. IMHO they pay MUCH better than Kontera.

And CPA works, too, especially Clickbank or Commission Junction. I think, if you apply yourself, you could earn even more than with Adsense. You know more about your visitors than a Google Bot. Just find appropriate offers to match your content.

Rather than go that far, just set up an LLC and get an account for it. It is not even against their rules.

I had an LLC for other reasons and recently got an Adsense account for it just in case something happens to the one under my name. With the annual fee and registered agents fee, it costs me about $125 a year.

There are tax advantages to them too but that is another story.

Affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing!

I haven't been banned from Adsense like many others have, but once I made my first affiliate sale and realized that $20 days were more of a reality with affiliate marketing than with Google Adsense I stopped optimizing my sites for Ads.

Instead, I find markets who want a product and provide that product as an affiliate. A great example is a shoe site I run. I make a commission every day, earning between $20-$40 daily.

It takes more effort to set up in the beginning, but I would start thinking about putting some of your eggs in an affiliate marketing basket.

I was thinking of giving affiliate marketing a try for at least one site. Would like to read up some before starting though. Do you recommend any WSO's or the like to get started? Something to cover the basics on selecting good products and the like.

Think about affiliate marketing in terms of doing market research, finding keywords that you can rank for and then finally concluding by seeking out products that are directly related to those keywords/niche.

I promote solely with ShareASale merchants, and often I will peruse their list of merchants to see if there are products that might have an audience. Then its off to do some keyword research. My first affiliate sale at an 18% commission was extremely eye opening.
