Obviously the quality of our links is one of the most important factors when we are getting our backlinks right? I am seeing pages outrank mine when i have dozens and dozens of pr 0 and pr 1 and 2 links and they just have a handful of links and some are from pr 3 and 4.

Since this is the case wouldnt i be a LOT better off just searching out sites that have pr 3 and 4 and doing a guest post for them if they allow it and get a link back from my article? I could get a killer article written for $20 bucks from an expert in almost any field. And depending on my niche wouldnt $20 dollar article be worth a pr 3 or higher link from a related site?

I know i have heard of a course that teaches this does anyone know of a resource for this type of linkbuilding?

Personally, I think guest posts are a killer way to get relevant, high quality backlinks to my site.

Not only do I get the backlink, I usually get traffic as well because the blogs I guest post on have a nice following. It's a great way to piggyback on the blog owner's traffic!

I don't know of a course. I picked up this idea from Chris Rempel.

    No, I don't know of a course.

The approach I use is to find blogs that share the same niche as yours. Contact the owner and see if they are open to guest bloggers. Many blogs will even advertise if they offer guest posts and what the guidelines are. Then just write a really good post. Don't make it salesy, make it informative. You're going for a good backlink here so it doesn't do any good to write something that the blog owner won't accept. Then at the end of the post you can usually have the equivalent of a resource box. Different blogs will have different requirements for how and where the link is presented.

There is a woman who has a free service that connects bloggers who need guest posts with those who would like to write them. I have used it to find a few, and it seems to work pretty well.

If you want high PR backlinks, you should look into some link packets from Angela's Backlinks or Paul's backlinks. Guest posts provide good backlinks, but guest posting's main advantage is the relationship you are building with the other marketer and their readers. New possible affiliate/JV and increased traffic.
