I got an email from one of my CPA managers on a story he wrote on Facebook and click fraud. He alleges that Facebook is charging him for clicks and then not sending the traffic to his web page.

Are you aware of this? Read the story and see his proof.

Anyone else encountered this type of action? What are your thoughts? How can a company do this or justify the actions he alleges?

I get several hundred and thousand clicks a day from facebook and I have not encountered this problem. While conversions vary greatly from day to day, that is a whole separate issue, but I'm seeing all the clicks add up.

    Woooo!
I've read several eBooks around creating FB Ads Camp, FB is good for driving traffic with cheap CPC. But I also heard a few people complaining about FB too. More ideas and experience will be much appreciated!

I have not heard og this since I have joined facebook. I would be surprised if this was the case. I know Google would benefit from these rumors

I am running several facebook campaigns my clicks are adding up and staying consistent.

I have to admit there are major fluctuations in conversions. I can run the the same campaign on google or yahoo and I don't get as great a variance.

      Blessings!

It is really so happening it is terrific. It will create bad impression of face book to his client. It should be stoped by face book otherwise he will loose his customers.

I ran an ad in FB last month. When I put the ad up it was approved and started to run. However, it was for an affiliate link. However, when I was running the ad by CPM, not CPC, and it got thousands of impressions.
When I changed it later to CPC, it went into review mode, then they reviewed and disapproved the ad!
So simply changing from CPM which was showing thousands of impressions to CPC was a problem for them. IF the conversions made sense, I would not changed to CPC. But not enough clicks for that number of impressions, caused me to change to CPC. And just that change made them disapprove it!

When I contacted them, they didn't get back to me. So I went to MSN and google ;-)

Sorry, I'm not a big fan on advertising on sites like facebook, myspace or all those other kind of social sites. There are to many other ways of bringing free targed traffic once you figure it out.

I pay per impressions and prior to that I didnt see any click fraud on the cost per click either
