Is there any risk on doing this with my adsense account?

Hello Warriors,
I'm going to buy some websites from someone who want to sell them after his adsense account has been disabled. He told me that it has disabled due to reasons not on these sites + I reviewed them myself and didn't find any infractions on them.
Now the question is, could I buy these sites and put my adsense code on them without any risk! or it is just a big risk to monetize adsense in a sites with a disabled adsense account regardless of the actual disabling reason!

Thank you,

  • It's a big risk and unfortunately people often lose their Adsense account for that very reason. Putting code on a site that was recently disabled.

    I wouldn't do it.
  • If the site has decent targetted traffic and good SERP positions you can buy it and monetize it with other affiliate networks (depends on the niche) - Amazon / clickbank / adbrite... cpa even.

    • Logically - your adsense account wouldn't be affected. In reality - it well may be and is not worth the risk.

If the seller knows "it wasn't the sites" that got him banned by Google - he knows what the reason was and chooses not to say. I wouldn't trust that.

Unless you have specific affiliate products suitable to sell on the sites - I'd take a pass on them. However, it sounds like you've already purchased or decided to purchase.

  • Thank you guys, however I still can't understand if there are no infractions in the sites, why could google harm my account, I reviewed them myself and there is no infraction on them, is it just because some disabled account used them before they can't be monetized by adsense again ever?
Is there any way to know if the sites have been blacklisted or whatever like that?

    Thank you again warriors

    • Hi

I would not risk my adsense account doing this.
If you have other ways to monetize the sites that's fine.

  • In this case I would rule on the side of caution and not do it. Too bad that their isn't a good way to communicate with google/ adsense over issues like this. That is one of my biggest gripes about google. LACK of COMMUNICATION.

One could go and review each of these sites with a fine tooth comb and see if there is anything that might remotely go against the adsense policy.

Be sure to look at the simple things such as a link to a privacy policy on each page that displays adsense etc.

But again I would probably not risk it and you should try to get more specifics as to why the person was banned etc.
  • Banned

  • I refunded them, however, the bad news is I already used my code on it for 3 days, so, should it be dangerous?

    • If you have removed your adsense code from the sites and no ads are now showing then you should be ok, I would have thought.

    • No, it's not dangerous. Just don't put the website on the allowed list in your google adsense account.

There are people that are putting adsense ads ( they look up adsense publisher id ) of their competitors on porn sites and warez-sites, lol.

But as long as those sites are not in the allowed list, you should be save.
  • if the seller said his account was banned for something that had nothing to do with those sites, then i wouldn't be too worried.

    • It was my opinion before writing this thread
  • I think we'll never know till we've tried it...SO, just try..and see the result..Good luck..

    • If the result could be losing my account I would say no thanks
  • You were an expert on that?

You have no idea why his adsense was canceled. Many people break
rules without realizing they actually did. For the simple reason they
just don't read the rules or they ignore them.

How could you refund them? He would refund you.

    Something fishy here.

If it smells bad, don't eat it.

People have given 2 roads: Take a chance or not take chance.

Put the words "my adsense" after them.

Take a chance on my adsense
Not take a chance on my adsense.

I'd say the choice is clear.

Unfortunately, this forum is full of people with clouds in their eyes who
come back and say, my adsense is gone for no reason...

No fear for 2-3 days. Now go forth and do wisely.

    • I would not do this in any situation. Risking your adsense account for a website that is coming from a banned account is just stupid if you ask me. Why take the risk?

For all you really know, the seller is selling you the site that got his account banned because he wants to get some kind of final payout from the site.

Do you really think that people don't get screwed over everyday online? They do, and taking risks like this is why in most cases. Don't be naive, bad guys are out there and this guy sure sounds like one.

  • Now It's clear, and I think I did the good choice at the end, thanks warriors for helping me to take the right decision.
