Hey guys,
What are some SEO methods you use to get your site to the top?

I have done article marketing, directory submissions, press release submissions, bookmarking, web 2.0 .... am I missing anything?

My website's articles are on pages 2-3 and i'd like to bump them up to the top.. do i just keep doing the same **** i've been doing or are there some other methods i could be doing that are effective?

Promote the promoters. Many individual articles, web 2 sites, etc, may not even be indexed. Its too time consuming to check them all or even promote them all but to whatever degree you do it helps. Your ezinearticles author page has an RSS feed, many article sites let you pull a feed off all your articles. Most web 2 properties and many bookmarking accounts have feeds. If they don't then you can look up html2rss and there are some sites where you can take no feed accounts and make them have feeds.

I use RSS Submit and if it has a feed I submit it. I also take feeds and combine them into one feed which is better if one feed does not make much content. The output can be read in a stand alone feed reader on your desktop quickly if you want to see how it looks.

The more I learn about RSS Feeds the more I like them. I do Twitter searches, Google news searches, and pull the RSS Feeds and put them in RSS sidebars on blogs and Squidoo lenses. It makes them auto updating. I send blog posts to Squidoo and lots of places. RSS never sleeps.

Good question to ask because there are lots of ways to build links.

Backlinks, more backlinks, and once you have done that, more backlinks. And don't forget the most important step, backlinks. Also, you are on track with the items you mentioned, just don't forget to keep repeating the proces, that is part of the recipe too.

Do a hub page and a Squidoo lens, pinging, social bookmarking, classified sites and place some ads. Backlinks very important.

Do more that one article or blog keep doing them but make sure they are keyword rich and unique

More than half of the activities are exposed to the world but still everyone ask about it. Most of the SEO lies in the basic activities mentioned above. The only point left is when to implement those and how to implement those activities.

The difference lies in the frequency and density of those activities, which depends upon the competition in your domain.

I am new to the forums, but I already have experience in SEO - I suggest that you also promote your back links. There are many ways to do this. That is why from the start you should have a master list of your back links and then go ahead and promote them as well by doing social media promotions like bookmarking.

I believe one of the best way of getting higher rankings is link building.. research some related sites and try to get one way links from those..this will drastically increase your rankings as per my experience.. 2nd priority will be article writing and submissions..try to use the method of article spinning while submitting articles to avoid spamming..3rd priority will be forum and blog postings..rest of the activities such as social bookmaring, directory submissions, comes next..
