Hi Warriors,

For the last 30 days Seo Elite has been telling me where one of sites are ranking in Google and Yahoo.

Right now Seo Elite says in Yahoo im in position 3 and 28 for my two target keywords. Been moving up the ranks but when I check manually it's never no where to be seen.

Google = no problem.

Anyone experience anything like this before and how long did it take before the serp results showed up when you check manually?

I've had Seo Elite for years and never noticed a discrepancy such as this so I figure it's on Yahoo end.

I use rank checker for firefox to check my sites and I have also noticed that the results it gives me for google is correct but for yahoo the sites are not where it is saying they are.

No, that is something new to me. How come you are not focussing on google? 90% of the traffic flows from google.

      So what?
10% isn't good enough for you?

Focusing on one thing is equal death! Do not put all your eggs in one basket.. I get a lot of traffic from Yahoo AND Bing.com - sometimes Ask.com also.. I wouldn't spend HOURS each day trying to rank on Yahoo, but I would spend like 10 minutes.. Which is 5 hours per month for the last 10% - All my traffic comes from searchengines - and not only Google SEARPS.

In the past when I was doing seo I got quite a few extra sales from yahoo. So when i have seo elite check my ranking positions in google i just leave the yahoo search engine option ticked.

Google is my main focus on this project when it comes to search engine traffic. Just baffled as I've never seen this before with yahoo.

You can't compare the 2, as they use different algorithms. But for me, the sites
I rank well on yahoo get tons of traffic from yahoo. The ones that rank well on
google do not get anywhere near the traffic one would expect.

It's all relative. You probably rank a little differently, keyword/phrase wise, on
yahoo then on google. Maybe a lot differently.

I have also noticed that yahoo seems to have cycles. I rank #1 one day, then drop
for 2 weeks, then back up to #1, repeat. I'm not sure if cycling is part of any
        algorithm for bing/yahoo.

One thing I found from one of my clients this month, is that they are conveniently ranking in the top 5 for both Google AND Yahoo for their keywords this month. I can't say I have been that fortunate in the past. I smell some referrals coming.
