AdWords Campaign Shows As Suspended - What Does It Mean?

I've had an AdWords voucher laying around which I've decided to finally use because I had one product in a different niche from my main niches so I decided to test it on a separate AdWords account first before I run a full fledged campaign.

I set up a new account utilyzing the voucher and set up a campaign.

However it shows that campaign status is 'suspended'.

Google accepted my credit card (a different card from my other accounts) and accepted the voucher.

It shows a credit card on file and the voucher credit.

However it does not show that the $5 activation fee was deducted from either the card or the voucher.

The account is active though and the ads are approved. I've set up a duplicate campaign and that one also shows suspended.

I've set up Adwords accounts before and never had this issue.

What did I do wrong?

Usually you see this because a pre-funded account has run out. The accounts go live again once you add more funds to billing preferences.

That's what my guess would be.. perhaps it's as simple as setting a new primary billing method since your promo code ran out.

In the past, if you were in hot water you would see a message along with the suspension, ie.

It's come to our attention that you have submitted ads that promote Google Money Tree or ads that promote a misrepresented affiliation with Google. Due to multiple complaints from our users and publishers, we've made the decision not to accept these ads.

When you say you set up a "new account," does this mean you now have
more than one adwords accounts? You are not really supposed to do that.
A client manager is a different story.

If you used the same name, well, that may be your problem.

Hey, thank you guys for responding.

The ads started running and I now see the $5 activation fee deducted from my voucher. I guess it took a while to process the voucher and apply the activation fee.

        Ads are now running.

Yes, I do have more than one AdWords account. I also have a personal social security number AND a separate tax ID for my company, and I do business as an individual AND a company which is a separate entity. I hope that explains it.
