That is because you are entering something in the referrer field that is not a valid username on the forums.

Please try again and don't put anything in the "Referrer" field while registering or if something is in that filed just delete it.

Submiting to dirs is true withe hat SEO.
If the website is new try to submit 10-20 dirs at max a day, this tool remeber where you left last time, so you just continue next time...

Some directories will send confirmation mail, some will just send welcome mail and some don't even send emails.
In emails that have confirmation links you only need to click them (or copy past in the browser address bar) to confirm your directory submission, no need to do anything else.

Indead very nice tool. And the best is that you can partially submit. I'm doing 20 daily.

Also take the time to find out in what category your competition or similar websites is ALREADY listed, so you can save time on category errors.

Any reason why this tool isn't completely automated like your other tool? Seems like it would cut down a lot of manual labor especially with the non captcha sites.

This is semi-automatic because choosing the right category is the key for acceptance rate, very drastic in %. It is very hard to auto-select categories, not imposible but hard, so you ended up with wrong selected category and admin will not accept your website if this is auto selected.
Still this tool have auto preselected category option, so basicaly if you entered right keywords category will be preselected and you only need to click "submit" if the right category is choosen.

I will see if people have success with this pre-selected categories(if they know how to use it), then I will make it like complete auto submitter, even for captcha websites.

If you get this error message while submitting :
"- The URL could not be validated. Either the page does not exist or the server cound not be contacted."

then don't skip that directory, just try to submit it one more time.
That way your submission success rate will better.

I found your username based on warrior username.
You have the same problem as Xtoni had.
In your "Category List" you have to much one comma and space after it...
keyword1, keyword2, "space"

OK, I found your error,
When you entered the keywords for cats you left one coma at the end, like this
keyword1, keyword2,

and this last coma is too much, script expect some keyword after coma and get nothing, so thats way you get wraning/error

I have fixed this for you and now it is working, you can continue to submit...

I've just had my activation email, it doesnt say anything on how to resend but it does say to email admin for help but I cant post the email address on here, it wont let me. I'll try and break it up so it allows me to post it. Email admin.

and I'm having a lot of error messages, almost every other one I'm submitting too says theres something wrong with the URL and it has been lodged for investigation.

I don't have control on these direcories and they can have many reasons for submission failure (time out, server down, expired domain, maintenance... ).
I get that message only on few dirs and they are all logged and will be removed if needed.

Why there so many negative reactions with your tool? Is this method are accurate as i observed their reactions to your site its a down but then I've decided to go on manually submission process. I'm not against with it just saving my time.

One suggestion very much needed.

When you have more than one website, when you are on Submiting, it should tell you what website of your own you actually submit. After selecting it, just put a tag on top right .... Just to be sure ...

Actualy if you fill keywords for categories right, the categories will be auto selected.
In the next version I will add most common categories, so you will be able to select yours and also enter keywords for other/optional cats (this option is now supported)

  Acceptance rate depends on few factors:
  - Quality of the websites you submiting
  - Title
  - Choosen category
  - Directory admin
  - etc.
  
  Also it takes time for admins to approve or deny your submissions.

You need to diversify your incoming links from as much diferent services as possible. You should not use just one tactic when building links, (article submission, blog commenting, directory submission or what ever), the main key to sucessfull backlink campaign is natural appearance of backlinks and natural don't mean backlinks from one service or one type of websites and all done in one go or in one single day.
  
  Conclusion is that you can't expect that only one linkbuilding tactic will give you top 3 or top 5 or what ever google rankings. So you can't expect that directory submission alone will bring your website to the top of the google for your keywords. If you expect that then you are in the wrong place.
  
  SEO needs planning, time, work and testing this is not something you can get done overnight!

  For me, in a very tough niche (travel) ALL my competitors above me have nothing, NOTHING, NOTHING, but huge ammount of backlinks. From everywhere. And that is how the RANK.

There is a problem with non-english (regional) directories.

You use:

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" />

but UTF-8 is most likely needed. Otherwise we see junk characters as categories

Yes you can find few such examples, this is because people buy dropped domains with pr, then they put directory script on it(or whatever) and after some time pr disappear.

Follow up:
Issue(bug) with the categories has been solved finaly...you will no longer see these ugly errors.

Some news about the tool:
- New and better way of category preselection has been added to the tool, you can check this out by editing existing or adding new website!

Now you just select category from the drop down menu and click "Add Cat" button to add selected category to the "Category List" below and that's it. You also can fill "Category List" by yourself.

- Also few little bugs and user requested changes where made.

I just want to share few interesting facts about this tool that I have extracted from my database and my logs.

In last 6-7 days since this tool is online it has made:
17.000+ successful directory submissions
for 400+ urls

Now I'm in process of adding new directories
Will update PR of each directory

For now skips are gone for particular url you submit.
I will make option that you can try resubmit skipped directories.

- All directories where analyzed for subsmission performance and about 200+ low performing directories where removed from this tool
- About 500+ new Directories added to this tool, so there is now 2100+ supported directories
- Small bugs removed
- Updated PR of direcotries and this is Google PR breakdown now:
PR6 - 9
PR5 - 34
PR4 - 105
PR3 - 193
PR2 - 279
PR1 - 232
PR0 - 1280

To do:
-Option for multiple titles and descriptions.

It depends only on admin of that particular directory if he will approve or deny your submissions. I'm still getting my approval messages 3.5 months after submissions.

Acceptance rate really depends on few factors:
- Quality of the websites you submiting
- Title
- Choosen category
- Directory admin
- etc.

BTW, I think that you need to do at least 20-50 successful submissions per day until you have done all 2100+, but it realy depends on your site age and backlinks it already have.

I have used this and I can say that it works, it works beautifully BUT it's really tedious. 2 things that can be improve upon:
1. Connect to Decaptcher this is seriously needed.
2. Better category detection, the bulk of the work is to put the site into the right category, it is important to do this but it is also tedious in this software.

Other than those two, this has worked great, really great!

1) This is something that will be buit in this tool and as you said it is mandatory.
2) This was my mistake, now it works much, much better, read more about this below:

I was testing something a week ago and forgot to undo some changes, so category preselection didn't work right, it always selected last from the list of your entered categories, basically tool ignored all entered categories but last.
Now I found that bug and category preselection is finaly working now... :-)

This is how it works:
Select category from the drop down menu and click "Add Cat" button to add selected category to the "Category List" below.
First add subcategories then main(general) category or categories, because tool will try to find first category from the list, then second, third, etc... You can also fill "Category List" by yourself.

These are all free directories, they have paid featured listing options, but they are all free.

Furthermore they are not asking you $ for inclusion into directory,
they are offering directory submission service in their welcome or confirmation mails.
Also some maybe offering featured listing in their dirs, etc., but they are nor asking you for payment to include your website into the dir.

That's because you typed something in the area of origin which is not a valid username on the forum. Try again and do not put anything in the Godfather field when registering, or if there is something in this filing to remove it.

In this tool there are only free directories with no reciprocal links needed.
So you don't have to pay or have link back to that dir in order to submit to dir and get listed if approved.

A short question: if my domain is fairly new and only have a few backlinks from WF (my signature) when I checked with Yahoo SiteExplorer. Do you recommend me to submit my websites to all those free directories? If so, is it still 20-50 per day and continue until my site is submitted to 2100+ directories?

Yes you should be fine with 20 submissions a day, then after 10 days you can take a break for about week, then submit 30 per day for about week, then one week break, then 40 a day, etc... until you submit to all 2100+ dirs.

As I said before, only free with no reciprcal links in this tool, so this one "Directory Dolphin" is deleted from the tool.

Thanks for your note about paid dirs, I can't track all dirs, so sometimes owners of dirs turn free dirs to paid dirs, when you spot something like this, just notify me and I will remove that dir from the tool.

I'm getting a lot of this:
- This field must have minimum 4 characters and maximum 50 characters.

What does this indicate I'm doing wrong?

This happens 75% of the time I click "Submit" after choosing the correct category for each site.

I have submitted 40+ times, but attempted to do at least 120.

Also, how do the categories differ from my keyword search page ranks? I have multiple keywords in my meta tag, will these directories improve the page rank for each keyword simultaneously, or what? Sometimes the category options in each directory may not offer something that's in my meta tag keywords, is that ok?

I'm new to all of this, so I hope these aren't dumb questions :p

Glad that is working OK for you now.

You should be fine with 20 - 30 per day. then make few days break....

Meta tag has nothing to do with the directory categories. You need to choose categories from the drop down menu in the tool, but you have "how it works" instructions there, I suggest that you read it carefully.

To get better rankings in SE you need to have anchor text in your backlinks same as your main keywords, but mixed with LSI variations of that keywords.
So to get that keywrods in anchors you need to make your titles keywords friendly, because title of your directory submission will be your anchor.

Now this software don't have spin title feature, but you can do 100 submissions then edit the title, then another 100 submits then edit title again, etc...

It really depends on few factors.
Directory Submission is long term process, you can't expect results in a few days.
I'm still getting my approval messages 3.5 months after submissions.

Also acceptance rate really depends on few factors:
- Quality of the websites you submiting
- Title
- Choosen category
- Directory admin
- etc.

I think that you are confusing IMT Directory Submitter with IMT Website Submitter.
IMT Website Submitter creates pages with link pointing back to your website, then it pings each created page.

Great tool, but one question - if i do say 30 links one day, the next time i use it does it automatically start from where i left off? IN other words does it keep track of the last link i subscribed to. I mean, if i get through say 500 links, in a week or 2 then have a break and come back to it do i have to go through the first 500 again or not?

little update and some facts:

Since this tool is online(10.05.2010), nearly last 2 months, it has made
140.000+ successful directory submissions
for 2150+ urls.

Aslo note that this tool soon will not be free any more!

MrWonton thanks for kind words, yes this tool will speed up submission proces by 95%, if you choose your categories the right way then all you need to do is click submit button and that way you can be doing 100 submissions in no time, I mean in few minutes

Yes, if you do it (directory submission) right way you can expect your rank to move up, after all this tool is designed and coded to help move your website/blog up in search engines.
But don't just stop on directory submission, you need to mix your link building tactics to see some real results.

The tool didn't work to good for me. Once I got my site added and started submitting, I got 12 submitted, before a problem occurred. The drop down box to choose a category was blank. I tried moving to the next set of directories, same problem. I then tried the set of captcha directories and the captcha image shows a red x. I'll keep trying but so far that's been my luck.

Just skip that dirs, as I said, once I finish my new tools I will take time to remove some direcotries from this tool that have low submission rates and will add some new dirs.

Update:
We have moved to a new private server, with much faster node and hardware, so submission process is now even smoother...

I have tested directory submitter and it is working fine(we had some smaller issues), but if you run into some problems don't hesitate to ask.

I have rewritten and optimized the code behinin this tool,
that resulted in speeding up the submission process by 20-30 times.

Since this tool is online(2010.10.05) it has made

What an interesting tool- It actually appears to work!

If you only want to do say 250 and not the lot at one time- how can you go back and not do the SAME 250 2 weeks later?
There doesn't seem to be a way to get a submission to a different lot rather the same again.
So It appears you Have to submit to the total lot at one time to get seen at all the sites.
Am I Wrong?

While i would like to thank for the free tool, here are the results for my two websites:

I have been used the tool from day1, submitted 20-30 daily for a 3 years old website and a 6 months old website.

The "acceptance" ratio is very low, around 100 directories for the first and around 40 for the second.

Also there are a lot of dead directories that should be cleaned, the real number is not 2000 but around 1400.

I have explained this many times before that acceptance rate depends on many factors...
100+ backlinks maybe don't look as much, but if you get 100 here and 100 there then it will be very good, in my book 100 free backlinks are great.

nice tool i always use your free 2500 backlinks when indexing a site

but tried to use your directory but for every submission i had to choose category when i already have done in profile, isint there a way of automating this so the category i have chosen in profile automatically gets chosen when submitting??

You need to add more categories, try to add more broad categories also.

I love it when people feel the need to attempt to prove people wrong EVEN when they are right. There is no perfect SEO strategy. Everything you've heard or read was and is based on someones experience.

Also I use linklicious.me regular paid subcription for my spidering and they do a good job.

Knowing most of you wont take action I have no problem letting out some of my business secrets, some, but I will tell you that the health niche is always booming and you can find some good CPA products at markethealth.com.

I will say that I fully see your logic, but then in that logic you would have to explain to me how google dance would dance your site up in ranking when it has been falling and links have not been built to the site for a week. Because that would be your dilemna.

All im saying is google is consistently changing their algorithm and most likely how sites are considered "relevant" or what types of links at any given time google gives more weight to. Fact is fact sir and the facts are I started building those directory links when I said I did, I haven't built any other links to the site for a week, and within that week my rank was falling. What law in SEO says a "while" cant be a couple hrs within quick directory acception which are highly spidered?

In the end it doesnt matter, I believe good SEO = building diverse links (anchor texts links needed) and by the 1000's, not hundreds, go by the 1000's things happen MUCH faster with those numbers. So to be clear I see your logic, yet that happened so I guess a person is forced to believe its either google dance or some instant directory effect, but ill never know because I'm getting all of these directory links in to my sites now =).

I have never seen the owner of a WF product reject the compliment of a user about their own product because they know its an inaccurate endorsement.

A cool free software with the above directories in it? Sounds like an excellent one to recommend! Wonder how much time it will take...let's just see.

UPDATE:
It was tedious task but I finally did it

I have removed about 600+ non working or low performing directories from this tool,
then I have added new 850+ fresh directories into this tool,
which is now resulting in 1780 directories in total.
I expect submission success rates to be very high from this update.

Also submission engine and table/indexes are now optimized for speed, so submission process should be much faster now.

I'm having a bit of an issue with the dropdown box for the directory submissions. I have a pet help website and I don't really know where to place it.

However I do commend you on this tool, it looks amazing and from the replies I have see I bet its well worth the time you put into it?

I just found by re-adding the site it has a pre-built category selection

I've been using this tool today for 4 of my sites and it's very useful and quick. Glad I found this. I just hope all these directories are worth submitting to and that it will show up with my SEO Spyglass. I received one approval so far today but it's a no follow link submission. I hope it will be worth it for ranking purpose.

One thing I would like to suggest is to add something where we can print out the list of where it has been submitted already so we could then send a confirmation report to clients. I think it would be very valuable. Thanks for providing this tool. I will continue using this and then give an update of how it's been performing for my sites.

While we should be greatfull to the guy providing a free service to us (and we are), the results from those directories is little. Very little. Low acceptance also, around 5%.
