Should I outsource PPC management?

Right now I do my own PPC management and do it well enough to keep us profitable. I wonder, however, if some external company that focuses on PPC could do a better job and save me some money. I'm always worried that their expense would be better used on higher bids.

Has anyone with a moderate amount of PPC experience used one of these companies or tried outsourcing PPC with any success?

happy if you want to hook up on skype / pm to chat further re your needs but i doubt hiking a price is an alternate answer as your pricing should be optimized regardless, for best overall balance of performance / outcome.

I've used more than a few of these PPC services, and was completely disappointed.

A lot of the "PPC mamnagement experts" didn't quite come up to snuff, since their results came in higher than my own CPC and cost to convert.

If you have been doing PPC for a while, it would probably be better to use that money on testing.

Now there may be some PPC management companies that can do it better; I just never came across any and I tried over 30 of them....

I think they cater more to inexperienced companies with a big ad budget that are clueless when it comes to Adwords.

It really depends on what kind of PPC companies you talk with. If they've been around a few years, it's more than likely they can help you. And the longer they've been around, the easier it is to check them out before you engage with them.

Full disclosure, I do run a search marketing agency. In the last 50+ accounts I've looked at, there's maybe 2-3 we haven't been able to help, mainly because their customers rely on word of mouth and referrals, and don't use Google much.

If you want to chat, then just PM me. And don't worry, I won't be "selling" anything...

    Cheers,
    Frank
