Curious whether or not this is a safe bet

Hello all!

Im new to the IM world, but ive finally forced myself out of the sit and read stage and into the "get out htere and do it" stage. And ive happened across a keyword that has me curious as to whether or not i can compete...

it gets 40,500 global searches. However, after running it through Traffic Travis i found that there are no exact name top level domains. Amazon is the #1 followed by internal pages and things like walmart.com everything is an internal page though with the exception of the rank 17 page.

So, what im wondering. Despite the scope of the competition would it be a reasonable expectation to be able to get in there and dominate it, given that the top rankers are all internal non specific sites?

Thanks alot for any help you guys can give.

If you get the exact word domain I would expect you can get into the top 10 within a few weeks and #1 is certianly attainable. Nothing is 100%, but it sounds like its worth a try.

Thanks i appreciate the input alot. I guess i was just a little gun-shy lol Ill give it a spin and see what happens down the road.

Oh, something else if someone wouldnt mind answering a possibley foolish question...

With regard to driving traffic to a site, aside from what im doing now. Which is submitting my link manually like a madman via Nemanja's service. And also submitting it to SocialAdr (which i have a free lazy account) for. And adding in new unique content in between. Is there anything else i can be doing to help make any given site successfull?

find a lot more backlink sources and build at least 5-10 per day If you want to beat internal pages of sites like amazon.com...
