  • I'm a bit confused as to what you mean by the same domain? Do you mean adding a sub-domain? Best bet would be to build 2 separate sites on 2 separate domains and share links from one to the other.
  • Confused along with bmlcreative...

    If you mean:

    BOB66.COM
    and
    BOB66.COM

That won't help you. It's viewed as the same web site to the engines.

    If you mean:
    BOB66.COM
    and
    66 bob.com

These are two separate domains, so then you can link from the first to the second to get the search engines to index you
You can also link back and forth between them carefully and get backlinks for each site.

    If you mean:

    BOB66.COM
    and
    new-web-site.bob66.com
Then you can follow the information above about it being two different sites. Subdomains like this (www and new-web-site) are considered separate domains. It's still best (IMHO) to have to unique domains vs using a subdomain for SEO... just my preference and experience.

    Hope it helps!

  • you could pass pr between them sites, as long as they are on different servers, but you won't see much of a boost from 1 pr4 link, 1 pr4 link is rather easy to get.
  • Evan-M is correct, that's where I was going when asking for clarification.

You can link the two of them together (or the aged one to the new one) as I mentioned, but one link won't put you in number one. It won't hurt of course, but it's not the holy grail. ;-)
