UAW Yahoo Backlinks

Can anyone give an estimate as to how many Yahoo Site Explorer backlinks you are seeing from UAW after one article submission after one week.

(I realize that more backlinks will come later and that not all of them will be indexed right away etc.)

    Probably none. The backlinks will exist but Yahoo is not going to share its propriety data in real time. it is an out of date estimate only. The number will always be low and you will see old links in the results.

    But seriously, what will you do with the results anyway? Would it make a difference if it said 5 or 500? You might think it does, but it doesn't really. What counts above all else is traffic to your site. This (if using organic sources) is directly determined where you rank for your target keywords.

    Focus on selecting quality keywords. And then focus on where you rank for those keywords. Forget crap like the quantity of backlinks Yahoo is showing you.

    Here is a tip ... get a spreadsheet. Put in it -

    'keyword' 'start current rank' 'start traffic from keyword' 'week 1 rank' 'week 1 traffic' etc

    Keep track of your marketing campaigns. Create a list of say 30 keywords and to 3 articles per keyword or so.

    You really didn't answer my questions. I am not doing article marketing for direct article traffic, I am doing article marketing for SERP and organic traffic.

    I know where I rank for those keywords, I am using this is a baseline comparison to other services to figure out where max efficiency is obtained.

      You may have to answer it by testing it yourself. I would never bother to track one article in UAW after a week - and submissions are spread out so it takes 14-21 days for one article to be fully submitted by UAW for most people.
