20 FREE Banner Ads For The Best 10 Responses...

I'm currently doing Perry Marshall's BobSled Run in which I just learnt about the effectiveness of banner ads.

Well being a photographer who uses photoshop daily I sat down and created some banner ads of my own... Flickr: KirkElliott's Photostream

Having gotten some rave reviews for these ads the idea was thrown at me...Why not create banner ads for other internet marketers.

Well I liked the idea so I researched royalty free pictures & currently have access to pictures in just about every niche that anyone may be in.

My question is: "Would anyone here be interested in purchasing banner ads and what sort of fee could I charge for creating batches of 50 ads?"

As a photographer who has done Perry's course I have 2 distinct advantages...

1. Understanding design as a result of over 30 years of photography

2. Having a greater understanding now of what goes into creating Killa Ads as a result of Perry's course, which will benefit my clients.

And to say "Thank You" I'll create 20 banner adds for the 10 most helpful responses I receive.

And I'll post who the 10 are so that I remain totally transparent

if you mean banner ads like 468x60 125x125 etc type ads I know a guy who does 6 diffrent styles for $30 so if your doing 50 that may be really to many.

It should be up to the client how many they need or way smaller packages.

If you are going to create a batch of 50 banner ads you will targeting at a smaller group. Why don't make it 10 banner ads and I am sure the response will be much better and you can charge a much higher price per banner ad.

Making your banners different, unique, cheaper or all three is not enough. Richard Harshaw has been telling his offline business customers that since 1998 and he's right. He says: "separate your business from the competition and then eliminate them."

Your competitors will always have something just like yours and it even looks and smells like yours but "like" does not mean "equal" but the customer believes what he sees - and he sees the same thing. Now what?

If you really do have the best product and time will prove that fact, then stand your ground when the price wars begin. The best in the World is never going to be the lowest price unless you're having a going out of business sale and half your customers know that. So do you give up on the other half? No. Do you cut them a special deal? No. Add more stuff to your offer? No, nobody wants stuff they didn't order just to fill up the box!

So what's the answer? You may never know unless you find some people to work with. PEOPLE are the answer because without PEOPLE nobody goes anywhere important enough to talk about.

Successful people are known for saying they don't have time to waste on forums but instead of getting mad, ask why they say that. Forums allow people to communicate but how many really connect? Forums are a huge waste of time if you don't make some connection that helps furthers your business in some way. Notice the people in this Diet Pepsi Commercial from Super Bowl 2005 http://www.ez-1.net/pepsi Everyone is included because that's what Pepsi wants. You don't need everyone - what you need is a Tribe!!

    Hello CaptKirk,

50 Banner Ads may be too many. Remember, as more people get to know about it and see how beautiful your banners are, they are going to want to have more made, PLUS they may want to recommend you to their friends and associates. Eventually, I believe you would get burned out when volumes and clientele increase, or it might even steal away from your family time. So I think batches of 10...the most 15 would be appropriate.

As far as pricing, the best way is to do a research and see what your competitors charge, and the quality of their work. Of course, being a photographer puts you at an advantage. But to stand out, you may have to give some attractive incentives.

    Regards,

    Regie

A Very Big Thank You to everyone who has posted to this thread. Your thoughts & comments have been most helpful and as promised I would like to make 20 Free banner ads for each of you.

I will make 10 different ones and a variation of each one so that you can split test them.

In return I would be grateful for your feedback. And as these would be the first sets of banner ads that I'd be making for anyone other than myself I will be happy if you tell me that any of the banners suck, should that be the case.

But more importantly I'd love for you to share the outcome of your use of the banner ads as ultimately the way that I want to distinguish myself will be through the delivery of banner ads that are worth multiple times whatever the final fee that I will settle on.

Simply PM me to get the ball rolling.
