Mark a paid link?

Hi Guys,

What does mark a paid link means? And what is it use for?:confused:

  • It depends who wants you to mark the paid link.

    - Google wants you to mark a link with a nofollow tag... So paid links can not be used to improve the rankings.
    - In some or most? countries you have to mark a link with the word
    Advertising in the headline... To protect the users of thinking that it is an honest recomandation.

    Most people ignore both and do not mark these links.
