Help - Why Don't Adsense Ads Match Content?

I put up a site with Adsense, drove some traffic to it with articles, got some clicks and a little money, but...

The Adsense ads don't match the content. I've got plenty of content to make the subject clear, and even the title contains the subject.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Are the pages visited a lot? If not, then relevant ads will not show up.

Not many visits yet (200+ over a couple weeks).

      Think that's it?

I do have the same problem. The ads that are showing up are not related to my contents.

Now, my question is answered already. Thanks askloz.

What, each page? or just some of the pages. I've had the same happen to me with my article directory, some get viewed, some don't, those that don't, apparently wont show related ads, those that do, do... you need to take it up with Adsense Team if the problem persists...

I haven`t noticed anything with less-visited pages. In my experience it just depends on the topic and keywords. Some topics don`t have many relevant advertisers, and in that case something less relevant is shown. Before I make add much content to an adsense page I throw up a b.s. blog post with a bunch of topic keywords just to see how relevant the ads are. If there`s no relevant advertisers I pass on that niche, or change/narrow down the keywords.

Sometimes google shows ads that are not relevant to the content.

        why?

because it is part of the system/algorithm. If an ad does especially well, google expands it and puts it on other (although irrelevant sites).

Think of it as ad evolution.

Strongest ads get clicked on no matter what.

That could be what you are seeing.

I have that happen even when I had my page perfectly optimized for the right keyword/theme balance. What I did was created a new Adsense code and replaced it in my page, then it worked fine even with low click volumes.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.
