What Happened to TruthAboutAbs.com, BurntheFat.com, Fatloss4Idiots.com? Did They Get Google Slapped?

I was checking out some terms that all of these guys used to advertise under and their sites aren't showing up. I then went and looked at keywordspy and it says their sites haven't had any ppc traffic for months and months.

Does this mean that they're just using the content network? Or does it mean the Big G slapped these products too? TruthaboutAbs.com does 8 figures per year in sales. I can only imagine the amount they spent in PPC. You'd think they'd have a pretty good "in" with Google.

Truthaboutabs was never hypey for a salespage either. Once again, maybe they're just using the content network or media buys but I have a feeling they got slapped.

Doesn't leave a lot of hope for the rest of us if that is the case. Of course Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, and Nutri-System have taken up the ads along with a lot of other Big Corporations.

I think so, or they competitors do something infamous to their site.

They don't need to advertise via PPC (anymore) since their affiliate are all over the place.

Otherwise, they would just be competing against their own affs.

I understand that. I understand that they do media buys. But nothing is like the content network. Also, wouldn't you rather get the full sales amount minus $5 in clicks?

I am also starting to believe that anybody using clickbank even if they have their own product is going to be in trouble. Use paypal or someone else if possible. Once the name is on Google's bad list it isn't going to come off.

I think google have something to do with those sites and as long as there are related sites that have affiliates there's always a competition on the targeted keywords as well.

I promote these companies (who doesn't right?) and while I haven't the slightest clue about getting G slapped. I can tell you that these companies are still ranking well and considered to be an "authority" in the Google SERP's.

That being said these sites definitely aren't frowned upon with Google, maybe it's just as others have speculated and they just no longer advertise via PPC with Adwords.

I just received confirmation that they've been slapped even though they all spent millions with Google. Fatloss4idiots doesn't surprise me but I've worked out over 10 years and know the stuff that Truth and Burn were selling was legit. They didn't have any wild claims either like some of the sites about losing 40 pounds in 7 days.

Hell, if they're willing to get rid of those guys who have 0 hype in their salesletters and spend millions they're willing to get rid of anyone.

You're correct that these guys have a lot of affiliates. But last year at this time Mike Geary said he was making 500-600 sales per day with Adwords. That is all gone now.

Also, Mike Geary had ppc affiliates that were making 1000's per day by selling his stuff. I am sure they got slapped too.

Of course you can go to media buys, facebook, etc...but there is nothing like the GOogle content network.

Yes, I am for real. Why respond if you don't have anything useful to say? Tell me something that is more valuable than getting in Google's Jet Stream on the Display Network where you get 50,000 + targeted clicks per day. Well, that's how it was in the good ole' days with the weight loss products that are now banned.

I am not being an ass but I really want to know. I am worried any day now I'll get hit by Google.

Weight loss products are facing a bad season, I have heard. It is expected that sales increase again by the end of the year
