EDIT: THIS QUESTION HAS BEEN ANSWERED. I ONLY REVIVED THE THREAD FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING AN UPDATE SEVERAL MONTHS AFTERWARDS.
Okay okay okay: PANIC MODE.

So without thinking I just used the awesome tool Nemanja posted in the other thread to gain free backlinks.

This thread: http://www.warriorforum.com/adsense-...ick-mouse.html

I set the limit to 2500 and let the process run, so thousands of backlinks were created within an hour or so.

The website I used has about 200 active backlinks right now, so that's a big jump.

Oh goodness, I hope Google doesn't get upset.

What do you guys think? That's an awfully steep jump in a short period of time..

I did it to about 600, i hope it bloody hasn't messed it up.

Nemanja should put a warning in the OP if it's true that new website's get affected by using it.

Well, whatever happens, keep us in the loop so we either learn something we can do, or shouldn't do.

I just can't believe I jumped the gun like that, lol.

Do you have any idea the places the backlinks have been posted to, lol?
Yup, I definitely did get a very pretty list out of the whole thing.

I'll be sure to document the whole experience in this thread. Google should be revisiting the site in question in the next 5 days or so, I'll see what developments arise.

Don't worry, it will not hurt. If it did, think of how badly you could lash out at your competitors and hurt them.

How long did the tool take to submit the 2500 links?

Thanks, I needed that reassurance lol. And you're absolutely right about the competitor thing, I hadn't thought of it that way- clever .
Although I do know how to completely eliminate the competitors with some black magic and a little unix lol (I never really wear my black hat though, I'm a good guy).

It took ≈ 90 minutes to submit.

    So yeah, quick update.
It's been a few months and only a few of the links have been found. Let's say around a hundred or so.

I received no sort of penalty whatsoever.
Most of the links were from trivial places, like WHOIS directories, so not a lot of high PR stuff was accumulated.

I am not sure if they gave a significant boost, but I'd imagine they did something.

I now submit all my sites through the IMT website submitter!
No complaints here! 2500 free backlinks are nice to have!

You can't really get penalized for building backlinks. The worst case scenario is all those backlinks are worthless, accomplish nothing and result in nothing more or less than wasted time.

Junky links are simply discredited that's all. However, with NEW sites you have to be careful.

Let's just say you don't want your site to start off with a bad start.

I have used it a couple of times with no problems. If running it damaged websites, then everybody would be using it to Google bowl their competitors which obviously doesn't happen.

Cool that you decided to return and answer your own question!

I highly doubt those links do any difference what so ever, besides being useful for getting indexed.

No worries. You didn't over do it and the SERPs will take their sweet a$$ times indexing these pages (if at all).

This is just typical Meta Indexing. I use the SEO Fast Indexer, which was so graciously offered to the forum members for free!

I use this tool to ping a list of my backlinks and typically Meta Index my backlinks wih 167-1000 of these types of sites.

For my main domains I pulled out all the strings and Meta Indexed 31,000 sites

All good, no penalties. My new pages and new sites get indexed fast, and I get credit for more of my backlinks faster.

      CHEERS!
