Hey Warriors,

I need some advice, I have had many of my blogs do the so called 'Google Dance' so I understand it usually comes back within a few weeks, maybe months.

However one of my blogs which is about 2.5 years old ranked #2 has seemed to completely disappeared. I didn't really care to much at the beginning as i have experienced Google doing this to me in the past as i said, however this time it is just taking way to long to come back.

I haven't been doing any black hat stuff either, I did some gray hat stuff in the beginning, building links that kinda stuff, that was about a year ago since i was doing that.

Because of my concerns I checked my ranking with Rank Checker by Seobook.com and it come back with a - for the 2 main keywords and 105 & 157 for 2 other keywords.

So after freaking out for about 3 seconds I went to Google and did a site:mywebsitedomain.com search to make sure it was still indexed and yep still indexed, Google returned the results for my site.

Does anyone have any ideas about what is happening, and/or how to fix it?

Thanks

Take a close look at your site and make sure somebody didn't hack it and inject a spam link into it. One day I opened up one of my sites and saw a gambling link some hacker had placed on my site. This probably isn't was is happening but take a close look just to make sure.

How deep are you digging in when checking your rank? Set it to 1000 (max) and see if the correct article appears towards the 1000 mark. I experience the same as what happened to you for about 6 months. The page (for a particular keyword) was being filtered back to the last page of results. It was kept company with some other quality pages that use to be my competition. Who knows what Google is going...

The page is back to normal now.

I think there must be some behind the scenes stuff going on at Google, i.e. late PR update, introduction of Instant, and personally for some of my sites, when I normally see improvement in ranking based on the amount of work I have done, I haven't budged on any of my terms in almost a month, which is abnormal. It may be your site, but if it is happening elsewhere, I think something else is up.

It might be the change in Googles algorithms that everyone is talking about..
