Does article submission works?

I wrote few articles in one day and posted it in 22 forums. I realized that you cannot get any result in just one week. In the medium term, like 3 months, is it likely for me to rank higher in google? I need your opinions please.

  • try submitting them to some good directories with backlinks to your site. They'll work better.

  • Do you mean Article directories or forums? Did you use anchor text within the article for your keywords? Did you promote the articles? It is hard to say whether or not you will get results. Depends on your competition. There is no magic formula to post x articles and getting such and such a result. SEO is a never ending process.
  • SEO does not happen in 1 day. That is great that you wrote some articles, because it puts you ahead of lot of websites. Keep writing articles and make sure to post them in article directories and make sure you have 2 backlinks to your webpage. 1 backlink to the homepage and 1 to a deeper page. With these backlinks, make sure that you have them linked with good anchor text to your keyword that you are trying to place in.

Do this and make sure you are writing articles that are interesting and relevant to your niche. Then repeat as necessary and adjust your keywords as your start to rank higher.
  • Remember, our world wasn't created in just a day neither was Rome. SEO is a vigorous undertaking. Time and effort should be invested. I once got cocky over my rankings and it just lead to Google penalizing me.

Always remember to put anchors on your articles. 3-5 articles per day will do. Also, you can put links into your forum signatures, but it must follow the forum's guidelines and TOS.

Don't exert too much on SEO. Take it easy.
  • I like what jesus72knight said
    "Take it easy"
SEO success may not happen overnight but its very rewarding once you're up there. Just dont overdo link building to hasten results
  • Its not so much that people link too fast its that they do a massive amount of links quickly and then stop building links. You want to continously grow links slowly picking up speed of building.
