How many links in article?

I am building a few single page websites for a client using keywords for his products. Basically each site is a article for the keyword used and nothing else.

What I want to know is if it is ok to put in say 3-4 links on certain keywords pointing to the main site. What would be the maximum?

It doesn't really matter on new sites. You don't have any "link juice" built up or PR flow to worry about. That being said, it's never too early to start thinking about structures and PR flow.

multiple links to the same URL/Domain don't seem to be treated the same as multiple individual ones so it's really nothing to fret about.

Thanks Brad, the whole purpose of the links in the articles is to get visitors to click on them that will take them to the main site or a landing page on the main site for that product so I was just concerned if it will be bad for SEO. Thanks for your advice.

Can't help but laugh at the next comment as people should read the original post first. oh well I suppose we all need to get 50 post some day

I'm taking it the articles are on sites your client owns not on directories. It depends on the length of the article. You want to give them enough points to exit to the main site. I'd so it so that there's one visible on their screen no matter where in the article they are (minimum 2).

What I have done is include 2 link within the article and then a kinda resource box at the end with 2 links in. I made six different sites like this one For Custom Folding Doors - Remember DRECO with only one article on and each site is a different keyword. Yes all sites is owned by the client

      Thanks for your advice

As far as concern of links in article, there must not be greater than 3 links in the entire article. Always try to use different keyword pointing to the link of the domain.

        Thanks,
        Jenny..
