Keyword Search Volume Testing

Hey everyone,

I had a quick question:

I setup an Adwords campaign to test keyword search volume. I put up an irrelevant ad and pointed it to a random website. I set the CPC bid to auto with cap limit of $3.50 per click. I also set the daily budget to $15.00.

Under the status tab for each keyword, I'm getting this:

"The keyword phrase doesn't currently trigger any of your ads."


What gives? Should I increase the CPC bid for the keywords?

    Im just trying to figure traffic search volume for certain keywords by putting up an irrelevant adwords campaign.
  • Im hoping someone who is experienced with Adwords can answer the question.

    I have even tried making the ad a little relevant to the keywords but still no luck. The ad is not being triggered.

    Im really stuck as none of my ads are being triggered for the ad. I have used the search option to no avail.
