    I haven't yet, but i'd recommend reading the post "The 40 Day Challenge" here on the forums. Just search for that and you should be able to find it - sorry, i'm too new here to post links.

    Basically the guy's goal is to get in the top 5 search position for his chosen keywords starting with a brand new site - in under 40 days. It is probably the best breakdown of the 'how' i've ever read. It comes in at over 20 pages so....prepare.

    first it depends on keywords
    research the websites who are on page 1 for the keywords
    who links to them
    how much keyword content do they have etc....
    then build quality backlinks try commenting on blogs with related content
    make sure you have quality content related to keywords and lots of it

    Thats all I can really say for free too many people sell products that can answer your question

        All kinds of backlinks preferrably higher quality links. Diversified links are more preferred than manny links but same resources.

    okay I have lots of number 1's and even more first page results.

    Here is how I do it ...

    Upfront Keyword Research - LEARN HOW TO DO THIS WELL as it is definitely more than half of the battle. I use a number of tools including MicroNicheFinder, Wonderwheel, Google Instant and the good old Google Keyword. You are looking for high demand, low volume of competition and low strength of competition

    Exact Match Domain - Buy a .com domain that matches your best keyword i.e. bestkeyword.com if it is unavailable add a word at the end if needed.

    Create Content - Write a 500 word page, use alt tags, H1, H2 and meta tags. Use your keyword about 2% of the time throughout the page

    Article Marketing - I love article marketing and get a ton of traffic using it. Write short punchy articles with a strong call to action.

    Backlinks - Create backlinks on high quality PR sites (plenty of ideas about that in this forum).

      2. Great Content
      3. Build Backlinks slowly at high PR sites ( I do 3 a day for a new site)
      4. Routinely do number 2 and 3 until your site shows in SERPs
      5. Article marketing adds links and bringstraffic.


      Be patient and keep adding content. When doing 1 ensure you find kws with low competition otherwise you will be taking on companies with massive SEO budgets.
