Adsense for the domain

Hey Everyone,

I have seen many people doing adsense for the domain. And I saw them making a hell of money from it. I also set up my domain. But I am feeling stuck as I am not with the idea how to get money. Because sometime I even get £2 for the per impression but sometimes it £0.01 for 21 impressions... Can you people discuss this matter that how is it possible to have high rewarding imressions.. Lets discuss, be exploring.. you will get more idea if you will discuss this matter with more sincerity...

  • If you have an high traffic domain you should be concentrating on developing it as that way you would be more in control how to monetize it. If you really want to keep it parked than just try out different domain parking providers to see which one would pay the most.
  • I bought some domains long ago.. until now without content because of priority and schedule. It's a good idea to know about ad+sense for domain. At least, you can earn profit while letting the domain get age before you will have time to develop the content. Personally, I dont buy domain just for "ad+sense for domain" only.

    • Yes but what you think how can a person promote his domian?? See if you use twitter or facebook, is it be a legal way to promote the domain.. And when you parked your domain, you can not advertise, seo or ask people to visit the page.. Then how can it be possible for people to get to that specific site??
  • Before your register a domain name, try to target keywords that actually have a combination of high cpc or high traffic. Adsense sites are still one of the most popular ways to make a passive income. There's definitely a lot of people that have really dialed it right and are making a lot of money. It's just a numbers game.

  • High Quality Domain = High Earnings!

    People who really make a lot of money are people who have domains worth thousands!
    Take this in consideration.

    Also don't stick to just adsense, try other Parking Advertisers to see which one fits you best.
  • I have a particular domain that has a website on it + AdSense and for reasons unknown it attracts a ridiculous amount of traffic - and yet, zero clicks.

    Then on another domain the opposite is true. There is very little logic to it.
    So domain + traffic won't necessarily bring tonnes of revenue. The trick is to have several + on the go.

    ......and aged domains are best unless you have managed to pick up an exact match domain in some fantastic niche area.

    • I think there is a ton of mixing up here.
      Only one person said it, the TOS of adsense for domains is different.
      You also have to have approval from google, and let them takeover your
      domain.

      It makes no sense to buy a domain from scratch for adsense.

      They can't possibly make squat. Most parked domains plastered with
      ads piss off people. There is some fantasy here about how much CTR
      or cash you are going to make.

      If you buy an old domain, you are asking for type-in traffic mostly.
      From who? If they are looking for the friggin site, and they find ads,
      they are going elsewhere.

      What people refer to most is just sticking ads up on some one page website.
      That is entirely different than a parked domain taken over by google.

      If your domain is not parked, not taken over by google, let alone
      approved by google, you aint doing adsense for domains. And you better
      not be driving traffic to it the way you do content.

      You are breaking a lot of rules by slapping up adsense ads on a domain yourself.

      It is far better to do SOMETHING on a one page domain, some content,
      then toss adsense up on it.

    Paul, I totally agree with you. If you're getting traffic to a domain, there are much better ways to leverage that traffic than to simply park the domain and hope someone clicks a random ad.

    I'm curious, has anyone ever experimented with registering a domain name with a common typo in it to grab a fraction of the original domain's traffic? ie. google.com -> googel.com

    I don't think this method would be successful unless you're very lucky and find a domain name that gets a lot of type-in traffic, but I'm curious if you know anyone who's had success with this.

  • pstarn - not answering your question because I haven't tried that method.

    What I am adding to the debate is the fact that traffic conversion is very unpredictable.

    I don't do parked domains at all - only domains with a website.

    And of those there is very little predictable click activity - as relates to the amount of traffic.

    You can't force people to click - sites that do by making their AdSense blend with their menu convert as they turn off.

    • Way back when the internet was young, people would not search.
      They would guess and type a domain. So, candy.com obviously
      would have gotten traffic. People do nefarious things with mundane
      domains. like candyland. Until hasbro kicked their teeth in.

      Who tries to guess domains today? Typo traffic? Well, google would
      not approve that anyway for any brand name. I may guess a domain
      I've been to. But if I find it wrong, I'm sure not clicking ads.
